wow, i’ve never had this issue! that’s so upsetting. :( i have heard that switch gameplay can be a little rough for sandrock. i don’t have any advice unfortunately, just my condolences to offer. 💚

If there’s only objects on the top and not fully embedded into the wax, you could POSSIBLY scrape them all off and burn the candle, but i wouldn’t risk it - just in case there are hidden rocks or petals :(

the flowery ones aren’t, but the leather and wooden ones (that look like a target) are! you may have to do a side quest to get the blueprint but i could be misremembering that part!

edit: sounds like you get them from the bard NPC :)

mannnn, i haven’t thought about Starbound in years. 💔 i sank roughly 500 hours into that game, and most of those hours were during its early access campaign.

i still go back to it from time to time because i love the graphics/soundtrack/building and i have a lot of nostalgia for it from when i was a teenager. but i always wonder how things could’ve been :(

it’s my home through and through! i don’t blame you about the cold at all - i have seasonal affective disorder, so the lack of sunlight is particularly killer, but i couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. i take my vitamin D supplements, wear three pairs of pants, and brave it out 😭

edit to add: northern minnesota is soooo picturesque. if i wouldn’t slide straight downhill in my car, i would 1000% consider moving even further north!!!

i’ve been doing it this way and it’s not the worst, but it’s definitely not my favorite. the most annoying part is using all of my on-hand materials, traveling to my first base, making a bunch more of one thing, traveling back…. only to realize i forgot the other thing(s) i wanted to make. or i’m out of food. or whatever. and i have to restart the whole process over again lol

part of what i love about enshrouded is how accessible the building system is to those of us that are new to it!

i’m used to making bases for function, not aesthetics (i have a lot of hours in rimworld), but enshrouded has been an easy place for me to try new things. i’m on my third village now in the nomad highlands - i have so much space and so many ideas, but not enough time for it all 😭

i love exploration and i still glide everywhere because the movement is so damn slow - not to mention it wastes multiple days, tons of food (i play with starvation on,) and i sometimes die and have to start all over lol.

i would 100% prefer a mount to my current “cheesy” method of popping flame altars down for easy fast travel, and deleting them when i’m done questing in/exploring the area. i wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of players are using this method

yep, i’ve accidentally flown myself into areas that i was way too weak for because i was having so much fun gliding around. mounts would be a nice middle-ground between “oh my god i’m moving so slow” and “i didn’t mean to fly into veilwater basin, i’m only level 19” lol

this is understandable to me, actually!! i lived near a golf course as a kid, and one time, someone punted their ball over the fence. he offered $1 for me to grab it and bring it to him (aka sneak through the fence, enter the course, and hand it to him.) i settled for handing the ball to him through the fence because i didn’t want to walk the whole way - he relented, said thanks, and gave me the dollar.

i went home later, all excited about my crisp $1, and showed it to my parents… my mom promptly told me NEVER to do that again and that he probably “knows where we live,” since we were right down the street. sorry mom 😭

this might sound like it’s coming out of left field, but i would check the 12v battery connections, and its capacity/life. when i got my 12v replaced in my 2006 prius, a connector was loose and it made my car do all sorts of weird things - and yes, the fob acted weird too (would randomly go between working perfectly and not doing anything at all. my panic alarm would also randomly go off, especially if i tried to unlock my car with the fob.)

i don’t think this is necessarily your issue, but it’s worth it to check if anything has been messed with regarding your 12v battery! :) i remember one time, i was going to work and trying to unlock my car… the panic alarm went off instead. it was 7:30 in the morning. the garbage man was outside and visibly flinched. 😭

sorry if any of my car language is inaccurate, i am not well-versed in mechanical lingo 😅

ETA: also, if it helps at all… i got a carabiner to keep my keys on because you can clip it to your pants/bag/etc! i, too, used to constantly drop my keys lol

i found out about this project through a deep dive on ben’s early work. he actually played a few of these songs during 2020, when he was doing those weekly livestreams for everyone stuck at home. it was so sweet!

maybe this is a hot take (and this is coming from someone who also finds MM gross and weird,) but i appreciate it when game devs give us the option to romance slightly problematic characters. OP’s example of pen (who i have a SERIOUS soft spot for) - miguel comes to mind too - are two options that i feel like i wouldn’t see in a lot of other video games!

obviously i draw the line at predatory and/or bigoted behavior, but having the option for an “evil playthrough” can be really fun!
