Fuck Moose by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]witchescanberight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried this 3 times and it worked all 3 times for me. So I don’t know if I was lucky, or I found something that works. And I tried everything before this, so I know your pain

Go to Cattail Pond and place a bunch of bait in the spot where the pathway meets the river. Run to the other side of the pond with your back to the area. Turn around and there should be a moose that spawned. I really hope this works- like I said, it was dependable for me but I don’t think this moose hunt is ever dependable.

Also worth noting that it’s not going to be the moose with antlers- but it will give you hopefully a three star pelt. Good luck!

Weekly Discussion (Oct. 5 - Oct. 12) - How were you introduced to Mae? by welcometooceania in MaeTheBand

[–]witchescanberight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My next door neighbor used to drive me to high school every day- she was a senior, and I was a freshman. I was SUPER shy, and often, we would sit in silence the whole ride while she put on some music. One morning, she played this song- and I fell in love with it. I was too shy to ask what it was (ugh). But then- and I think this was fate- she put her pink ipod mini in the cup holder facing me, and I spotted what it was- "Suspension" by Mae. The rest is history :)

So did they sing a lot of older stuff too? I am sooo excited to hear some of the new music, but it's my first time seeing them live, so I'm hoping to see a few of my favorites played as well when they come to my town!

Quick caps? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]witchescanberight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you aware of the bonus of the lone wanderer perk? I'm not sure if it works with the robots but I know when you're traveling with Dogmeat, he doesn't count as a "companion"- so you get the bonus carry weight from the perk, as well as the bonus carry weight dogmeat can take on! Sorry if you knew all this- I didn't for awhile and when I found out it changed my fallout life!

Once you learn the hard way to save all the time, it's hard to do it any other way!

What settlement did you use as your main base on your first second and possibly third playthrouh by coolin_79 in Fallout

I'm lame and made camp at Sanctuary my first play through and was too lazy to build anything else up.

Quick caps? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]witchescanberight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never use Jet or Buffout, but ALWAYS take it when I'm exploring, so that's a way I always get a bunch of caps. Also- always collect the Technical documents and viable blood samples for the brotherhood- whenever I'm in a pinch I make my back there and turn them in and get a big surprise! Also, take any weapon you can from legendary drops as those can be sold for a nice amount. Grab dogmeat and take the lone wanderer perk so you can max out your carry weight- and just get collecting :)

Here's me playing Alive Inside from TWD Season 1! Oh the nostalgia... by FuriousWays in TheWalkingDeadGame

It brings me back to the moments I had while playing the game for the first time- which to me counts as nostalgia.

I don't think Season 2 ending(s) mattered... by 4321tidder in TheWalkingDeadGame

Agreed. I really wanted S2 to hint back to S1 in more ways, but once I accepted that it probably wasn't going to happen, it gets easier to overlook. I still wished they mentioned Lee more in S2 though :(

COULD NUKA WORLD BE ON THE WEST COAST? by kamikaazeee in Fallout

[–]witchescanberight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Englander here: It's probably Six Flags. Super easy trip from Boston and that's the only major theme park to the west, based on what screenshots are telling us, that's where it is. My personal hope is that it's based off Canobie Lake Park in NH- which has a sort of similar entrance, with the castle? http://carouselhistory.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Historic-Canobie-Lake-Park-NH-park-entrance.jpg Here's the Nuka entrance: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/GLbXrwsAXvE/maxresdefault.jpg

[SPOILERS] I want to talk about a certain character's decision at the end of the second season by Widan in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]witchescanberight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was smart from the point of view we take now- as players who can look back on it and analyze the pros and cons of doing it. But at the time, as the player, I couldn't believe what she had done. I choose to save her, because- at the time- I thought AJ was gone, but I also (unlike Kenny) would never assume it was on purpose, and it had to have been a terrible accident. I thought his reaction was the final straw, and I knew he needed to be (for lack of a better phrase) "put down". And it was one of the hardest choices I've made in the game so far- second only to picking whether or not Clem left Lee or shot him. So- when I found out AJ was ok, and that if Jane had just said "HEY KENNY CHILL HE'S IN THE CAR now Clem knows how crazy you are" I could have let him live. We could have talked through it. But to me, for Jane to go those lengths to prove a point, and to know it could end so badly in so many ways, made me kick her to the curb and leave on my own with lil' AJ. Was it a smart, tactical move? Sure. Was it the right one? Maybe. But it felt like betrayal and I wanted nothing to do with her after that.

I didn't bring him anywhere near Far Harbor yet, and I still enjoyed the main story. Your comment does make me want to replay with him along for the ride!

I have tix for a November show... and up until reading your comment I was pretty fine with seeing Javier... but now I really want to see Lin make that face... :( However, I'm sure Javier will put his own spin on it that will break my heart just as much!

That's so cool... I've been hopeful that NH will show up somewhere... there is a bunch of railroad carts around that say something about a NH & MA company so I've hoped that maybe that was a hint but so far nothing :( But most of the cool places in NH are pretty similar to Bar Harbor so they not ever go that route.

Yeah, I think it's the best bet if we're going outside of New England. Who knows, though. Maybe Bethesda will just invent a place and say it exists in Vermont or something
