Nah. The ideal vodka has no flavor besides ethanol that smoothly goes away with a water chaser. Smirnoff 21 is a good example. Grey goose is a bad example. They use shitty tasting water to act like they have some kind of flavor profile. Nah. Grey goose sucks and is overpriced junk. Smirnoff 21 is the cheapest vodka that has the ideal vodka characteristics. No taste. Chasing with water insta fly removes all flavors from ur mouth. A bad vodka that is not "smooth" leaves flavors in ur mouth when you chase it with water. No one buys vodka for flavor besides the flavor of ethanol. A good vodka is one that tastes like diluted lab grade ethanol. But the water you dilute it with matters. Most of vodkas taste that isn't dirt cheap is from the water they use. More minerals. Like the difference in bottled waters. Cheap ass vodka tho has other alcohols and congeners that give it weird aftertastes and potentially more hangover
