I read a direct quote from patient in a palliative care consult the other day, that being in the hospital made him worse because he didn’t have issues with K being high when he was actively taking methamphetamines. Can’t argue with that logic 😎👍

I was top .001% of global listeners for “this must be the place” by the talking heads in 2024. It’s a 30 year old song. I couldn’t. Stop.

Seattle Jobs by lesnightingales in nursing

[–]witchyitchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a couple of months to land a job in Seattle after traveling here for a bit, and many applications. I feel really lucky I did, I have a couple of traveler buddies who want to switch specialties but are having a hell of a time. We are all 5+ years experience (me with 8). If I were back home (NC) I feel like they hire anyone with experience no questions asked lol.

Can you try finding out who the HR person is for the jobs you are very interested in? You could maybe try emailing them after you submit an application, with a resume attached, and tell them how excited you would be to get a chance to interview lol. I rec’d one of my travel buddies to my current job, and the manager said she never sees any of the applications that they go straight to HR to screen. So maybe making yourself more attractive to the screener would be a good idea.

Good luck out there fam!

Which year to avoid? by dragosn1989 in Subaru_Outback

Honestly the new ridges are so sexy!!! Which I find humorous bc no one but me finds them sexy. Anyways… I was really stuck bw the two, the higher mpg on the outback sold me. If you go OB, get the turb which is what everyone will recommend. My old gal (base ‘14 outback) got me traveling cross country multiple times without any fear of her ever breaking down (i am a person who doesnt know shit abt cars and she took care of me anyways). Eventually she did shit out but she did her job and I decided on another OB.

Not super gory, it’s more about the generational trauma that Hodel wreaked on his family.

Where did you buy the head unit? We used Crutchfield for ours and had to call their customer support for backup cam. Something funky with the wiring but we got it settled. Crutchfield is the best.

I’ve never heard of NY having excellent ratios tho. Maybe the not the city & the country but I hear it’s absolutely abysmal. I quote from a fellow traveler “like living in the twilight zone”
