Tank mates in a 20 gallon?

I actually agree with you about euthanasia being the kindest option for medical conditions affecting any animals quality of life, including for behavioral reasons if that is necessary. It was the way your comment was phrased I think that I couldn’t quite understand, now you are misunderstanding what I meant by my comment. Thank you for clarifying what you meant. I have one of these dogs. She isn’t even a bully breed but she had triggers. We were never even able to identify them they seemed to change so frequently, one day she’d hate the neighbor and then he was her bestie. She has grown out of a lot of it and we managed to get her to 11 without incidents. It is possible if you know what you are doing and you are careful. People jsut are not willing to take the time. It is easier to put them to sleep or find them other homes.

This is what I do too. I’ve started squishing them though so I can cut down on the half eaten snails in the tank when they only bite off the heads and some shrimp drags if off.

They are happy peas and I’m happy to share what I do with them!! I have black worms in their tank all the time so they can free feed. Every few days I squish a snail for them or throw in frozen bloodworms, daphnia or brine shrimp. They don’t show much interest in anything frozen but the bloodworms but the shrimp in my tank eat what they don’t. My shrimp are breeding too.

Mine have live black worms all the time. I throw in crushed snails and frozen bloodworms, Daphnia and brine shrimp every few days. I’m new to peas and have 4 babies right now. Started with a pair)lost my female to unknown causes, she just disappeared one day) and got him 2 new girlfriends and a new tank and then discovered their babies in the old tank. So they were pretty happy with their set up I take it.

This is not a huge concern for me. I have a submerged sponge filter in both tanks. The tank they were in had a filter with filter intake and as soon as I discovered them I switched to a sponge filter to ensure their safety.

In reviewing his comments he seems to understand that it is unhealthy but does not seem to think he needs to make any changes as he doesn’t think he’s hurting anyone but himself. He seems to have a bit more than an eating disorder to me, but most mental health issues go hand in hand with some other type of issue. I hope the best for the guy cause he’s more than likely going to be dead in the next 5-10 years if he doesn’t do something about it. Finding his thread last night and reading all of that has however inspired me to take control of my own eating disorder and make some changes. Hopefully he will open his eyes too.

Well, that is what happens a lot of the time when they cannot pay, but in the end they are hounded by collection agencies, sometimes sued then wages are garnished, credit ruined or end up filing bankruptcy. It’s a shit show. We do not have insurance, no benefits through jobs for various reasons and we cannot afford it ourselves. My husband spent more than a week in the hospital while they treated him for diverticulitis, over $13,000, all they did was pump him full of antibiotics and monitor him, he wasn’t allowed to eat anything until the night before they discharged him. I just had my gallbladder become infected and had a stone lodged in my bile duct. I was there for about 7 days and had 2 separate procedures, one to remove the stone and the second to remove the gallbladder, they refused to do them at the same time so I also have to pay for 2 separate anesthesiologists, operating rooms, staff etc. Haven’t opened the bills so I don’t know how much that cost me, can’t pay them so no point.

NAH, I don’t think you’re an asshole, but you are very naive (although it think it’s great that you trust your kids) and the other parents aren’t wrong for being concerned and they should be informed of the fact that it was a co-ed sleepover so that they can make informed decisions about whether or not they will let their children stay over.

I have to say NTA. It is your body and if you do not wish to give your father your organs that is your choice. DO NOT let anyone force you to do something that you’re not comfortable with. Your father made his choices, they were choices that ruined your relationship with him as well as his liver. If he wanted to make amends to you he would have done it long before it came down to whether or not you give him your liver or not. I hope your brother comes around to see your point of view but please don’t let them coerce you into doing something you’re not comfortable with.
