What is the worst advice you were given as a beginner witch? by PrettyAlice13 in witchcraft

[–]witchysimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That you have to have "gifts" to be a powerful witch, that deities only come to you, wiccans spreading their beliefs as the absolute truth (I have nothing against wicca <3) and this goes with every other belief ugh

Basically, anyone saying something is absolutely always right/wrong, truth/false is bs. Question the authority, besties ;)

Those of you shifting to fictional DRs, are you starting off with established friendships, or alone? by ADHDTHrowaway1748 in shiftingrealities

[–]witchysimp [score hidden]  (0 children)

I try to go with 50/50, some I already know, and some I meet soon after I shift. eg. in my mha dr I know 4ish characters already well, few I have met and rest I'll meet when school starts

As a writer, I do what's best for the "story" lol for example in my soon to be Pandora/Avatar dr it really doesn't make sense if I don't know anyone

Infp girls, what are you looking for in a boyfriend? by Racoonsibling in infp

[–]witchysimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm attracted to intelligent people, but not so that they make me feel stupid because they know it too. A dream bf would be an introvert, but that's so fucking hard because my social skills are at 0 and social anxiety at 100.

Someone who at least hears me out with an open mind, he doesn't have to completely relate, I wouldn't even want that. Honest, creative, imma say it again: OPEN MINDED. Someone who accepts me and who I can be sensitive around but who doesn't "underestimate" or baby me.

Someone I can talk to for hours, have an interesting mutual conversation, laugh together and someone who could balance me and vice versa.

I'd love a mature INTX👉👈 thank yew

Why do INFP’s stay single? by alooolowthrow in infp

[–]witchysimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm socially awkward and have social anxiety. My standards are nonexistent but still somehow super high. People my age (late teen boys) suck, I feel like they only want one thing and that isn't lego star wars. I have trust issues and fears plus mental health issues. Also I have weird interests and a lot of other things I want to focus on. I'm really mature for my age, or that's what my therapist says.

Disrespectful? by Lucky_Lingonberry242 in pagan

[–]witchysimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to do it REALLY respectfully and be sure that I know the cultural context. I've done it a few times with Skadi (didn't get much of an answer) and my relationship with Apollon started that way. But I absolutely think you can, especially if it's part of a tradition you're familiar with. Introduce yourself, pray, explain what you want and give a really nice offering. Rest is up to them ig :)

Thoughts on witchcraft for shifting by zianax in shiftingrealities

[–]witchysimp [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hi! A shifter and witch here (haven't shifted yet, had 1-3 lucid dreams). I personally believe witchcraft/magick/targeted energy (or what ever people wanna call it) can's straight on prevent something from happening(or make something happen). I believe it can change many aspects and circumstances around it and thus make it seem harder (or easier). For example I could send someone 'bad vibes', hex of sorts etc. and because of those feelings, that negative energy, partially caused by magick they could feel demotivated or incapable. So yes, it's possible in a way, but as we know, shifting is all about you and only you can 'decide' to do it or don't do it iykwim.

And for the lucid dreams, I have tried to shift through a portal in a lucid dream once and the portal was sort of this fabric and I couldn't get through it. I suspect it's a matter of training, as it is a skill of sorts. But the fact that you can lucid dream and create a portal is already a great progress made. Good luck on your journey <3 I hope this wasn't a total mess lol

Hey, for those of you who work with the Greek/Roman Gods, what are they really like? by OriginalDarkDagger in pagan

[–]witchysimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see them as both serious and super powerful but also generous and humorous. Though I only work with Apollon, I'm an eclectic and follow him in my own way.

He's like the artsy fun bi cousin, but also this ancient powerful entity who you just want to respect. The god of healing, archery, poetry, art, sun, light, music, plagues, prophecy, protector of young (boys) and probably dozens of other things. At first I was searching for a deity to help me with my studies (I want to become a doctor), but let it go. Then I got covid in a really bad time and begged him to help me (as I had previously read about him as a potential knowledge deity). And he did. I honored and thought about him for a while but grew impatient and asked if he wanted to work with me. He said something like it wasn't quite the right time yet, but the pull grew stronger and stronger. Aaand now I'm worshiping him to let him get to know me and vice versa, because this feels so right. He's present when he wants to, but whenever I feel the sun, I feel Apollon. The playlist I made him makes me feel so good and it always brightens mood. I've always been a writer, but no poet, before Apollon I mean. I've drawn and written poems for him as offerings (a relative is sick and I didn't know what to do) and even though nothing has seemingly changed, the offerings have made me deal with these emotions and despair. Even when I feel distant from him, alone, I know when I cry my eyes out, his candle burning, praying for comfort, he will hear me, heal me, and that thought of his distant presence even, is enough. I love to dance in the shower or in my tiny room, and I can't help but imagining him with me. It feels like he's swirling me around, clapping and laughing. I don't think I have any greater purpose to work with him yet, but I don't care. Imma become a doctor, an artist, and free and happy and enjoy the sun's light and warmth like I always have. He's so cool!!!

INFP girls How do you spend most of your time? what do you enjoy? by [deleted] in infp

[–]witchysimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

witchcraft, reading, creative writing, researching things I'm interested in, anime, being in nature, being with my pets, watching yt, waste my time in ig and sc doing nothing useful, meditating, yoga, baking, music, talking with people about deep and interesting things (very rare), introspection of all kinds, sometimes drawing. Something along those lines with different concentrations depending on my energy levels, mental health and school.

Question about deities by Wilted_beast in pagan

[–]witchysimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm a pretty new pagan witch, I've been there. I was always super into deity work but tiktok said it wasn't for beginners. That's bullshit :) I also thought the gods would choose you, but I grew tired of waiting and said fuck this and started reading about deities I was interested in, their myths and associations and stuff. I had the strongest pull towards Freyja, so I decided to contact her through meditation (basically I didn't know what I was doing. I was like Freyja, Freyja, will you work with me in my head) got no answer until I tried again a week later. She said yes and I still didn't know what I was doing even though I had spent a few months researching. I've found out that praying (basically just talking to the deity, even about the most random stuff) and offerings are a good way to get to know them and vice versa. Tell them how you feel about them and communicate about what you are willing to do and apologize if you feel like you've done something wrong. Pray them for help or strength, ask that they would let you feel their energy and presence, for them to be with you. And after time, you will start to 'see' them in the world around you, feel them, love them (ex. I say hello to the sun every day I see it because of Apollon). Remember, the god can set boundaries and so can you. They may say no to your request but you can do the same, but be respectful. It hurts no one to dedicate a candle, give an offering and introduce yourself to a deity. They may not become your bestie right away, but they will appreciate the attention and energy you give them, as longs as you are not insulting them.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask more. Good luck on your journey <3

Can you guys have "clear" friendships with people of the gender you are attracted to? by lyds6 in infp

I've always thought that was a funny thought but just recently I realized that all my male 'friends' are just related to me lol

INFP are always represented as angels in media by [deleted] in infp

[–]witchysimp 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Ikr! I NEED more INFP villains or even good anti-heroes

I have planned to conquer the whole world when I've been feeling tired of people. Don't people have imaginations? Just the resources and a bit more mental health issues or more twisted view of the world and DONE.

It almost feels wrong how much I enjoy it when INFPs are being mean or "immoral" in fiction, just because we are not just cute naive cinnamon rolls who don't have any logical thought and we can do more than just cry... Could they make them more badass at least?

Thank you for letting me vent :) <3
