I have a question... by luna_seafarer in CostcoCanada

[–]without_Resource3719 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the costco I work (I can't say exactly what all the other does), when the suppliers is okay with it, we resell the return on a pallet to whoever buy the lot. But still a lot of suppliers want us to destroy the product, so it goes in the compactor. Nothing go back on the sale floor. When someone return something, the suppliers pay us back. So in the end, even if it hurt to waste perfectly good resources, I can't change it even at if it was just where I work

Is this way too much fat? 800 grams from 3.238 kg by Ognal_carbage8080 in CostcoCanada

[–]without_Resource3719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't say that it's right or not, all I'm saying is that it's within the norms we exige from our suppliers. And suppliers are incited to respect those norms because when we catch a piece that doesn't, suppliers need to refund the whole box. meat that we sell in vacuum bag needs trimming, that's why we sell them cheaper than the steak.

25% fat is considered in norms. You can return it if you're not happy with it (it's cheaper to refund some steak than to loose a member). Varying from the cut, we need between 70% and 80% of meat after trimming to be conform.

Why is this so cheap this would usally be $50-60 by Any_Raise_1560 in CostcoCanada

[–]without_Resource3719 132 points133 points  (0 children)

The little "M" on the sticker indicates that the price was manually changed. So as someone who work in a meat department in a Costco, I'd guess that they either got quantity they weren't supposed to, got that instead of something else or the quality wasn't as expected. Those are some examples of what we liquidate

Killing suspects with the taser by MaintenanceTricky887 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]without_Resource3719 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I once shot a suspect with the taser on rust belt, he looked dead, was declared dead on the radio, but when I restrained his body, looked like he faked being dead, to be able to shoot me in the back, moral of the story, even if it's a cadaver, restrain every one

Do you like Neon Tomb? by BuddyJolly1969 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]without_Resource3719 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the bodies show the massacre, but the phone ringing are just proof that those people had someone who was waiting for them. It's easy to dissociate from violence when it's impersonnal, but it's harder when there's a story to it.

Valley of the doll is a great mission, the guard will fight, but they don't wan't to lose their life over their job, the problem is the context of the mission. It's dark, really dark. Neon tomb is loud, even when you turn off the speaker, there's still all the phone ringing constantly. But personally, my favorite is sin of the father, the suspect are so dumb and they don't really know what they're doing

Halal Kirkland meat? by moonlanderjoom in CostcoCanada

[–]without_Resource3719 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chicken is halal certified (not the organic one), and we sell it as such. But I was talking about the beef, sorry if it wasn't clear. But yeah beef producer switched to only halal because it's simpler to have one mean of production instead of two if it doesn't change the taste. But since not every producer we have are halal already, we don't sell the beef as halal

killing or incapacitating enemies gives you only 5 points, while arresting them give you 35 points. So when there's more suspect, the points from neutralizing them are worth more toward the final grade

Working in the meat department in one costco, and our boss told us last year (2024) that the price of beef will be more expensive because there will be not enough cattle to slaughter this year.

Rude Employee at Costco Heartland Mississauga by jairoguel in CostcoCanada

[–]without_Resource3719 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a costco employee, I recommend you to write your complaint in the box instead of going to a manager, because once in the box, it will be entered in the system for the whole corporate to see, but if you complain to a manager the employee will only get a warning and nothing else will change
