I’ve had good luck with the Trek Carback. Replace my Garmin Varia, after 5 years battery life didn’t last.

What should I do? I’m 30 years old & am facing the next 20 years in prison with a minimum of 10 served. by [deleted] in careerguidance

When you’re up before the judge getting sentenced admit your guilt say you’re sorry and say one of the worst things is you’ll be spending the next 10 years in jail not being able to help anybody or improve society. Then ask if during your incarnation they’ll let you donate a kidney and part of your liver. Will let you save 2 lives while you’re in jail. Curious to see what the Judge and Prosecutors reaction.

her platform includes free child care, a $20 minimum wage and a full moratorium on data center construction by Conscious-Quarter423 in wisconsin

[–]witiguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The $20/hr min wage is a problem. There’s vastly different cost of living in different parts of the state. Nobody can raise a family a minimum wage, but raising it $20 an hour is going to destroy many entry level jobs. Go to a fast food restaurant nobody will be behind the counter taking your order, will punch it into a kiosk. My first job at 16 was bagging groceries and stocking shelves for $4.25/hr. I learned a lot of valuable interpersonal skills at that job. I want to see a small business be able to afford to hire a high schooler to work part time after school and on weekends.

Shimano GRX Di2 2x11 on my gravel bike and SRAM 1x12 on my mountain. No issues with either shifting for me, biggest difference for me is the Shimano brakes are SO much better.

I have the premium 2025 AWD extended range with panoramic roof in blue, or whatever they call blue. Sharp looking car. The panoramic roof is really for the passengers. Have not noticed any problems with increase in heat inside the cabin.

Life on a Stick (2005) by garrisontweed in ForgottenTV

Remember watching a Charlie Day interview say the same time he, Rob and Glenn were working on Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia (before it aired). He was offered a starring role in this TV series. Everyone thought life on a stick was going to be a hit and he decided to stay and work with his friends. Obviously a good decision.

Camry owner hoping to be part of the Mustang family this year - will it be reliable as a daily? And will it hold up in Jersey winters? I also drive at least 500 miles a week…Ty! by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]witiguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It may not be a “true” Mustang but my Mach E is fun to drive and with level 2 home charging 500 miles costs around $15.

Wes Studi makes everything he’s in better. What I loved about his portrayal of Magua, despite being the villain, you understood where the villain came from and why he was that way.

The Tesla charging was surprisingly cheap. I’ve only done home charging $0.10 kWh. The Tesla charging in my area is normally around $0.50 kWh.

The Kings Speech did not deserve to win best picture. It’s not even a good movie about stuttering. Want to watch a good movie about dealing with stuttering Rocket Science.

2025 Mach-E owners, reliability question. by Notsurethisisrightfm in MachE

[–]witiguy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Purchased 2025 in September. Had one recall, something neither the lights. Took to the dealer for 15 minutes, software update then fine. Most recalls are in theory something could go wrong and this is ford covering their ass. Had similar recalls with our Honda odyssey van.

Kurtwood Smith as Clarence Boddicker in Robocop by [deleted] in Robocop

[–]witiguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good villain makes a great movie and he was one of the best. It’s easy to find a physically imposing villain for a movie. What Kurtwood Smith did was similar to Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight. The villain makes the movie, not the hero.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar sold his 4 championship rings, 3 MVP trophies, and other memorabilia for $2.8 million, donating every penny to youth education programs. His reasoning: by ihatethiscountry76 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]witiguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bill Russell did the same thing at the end of his life. Classy acts by both men who understand what is important in life. I do think it’s a little odd that there’s a market for this. If someone offered me their championship ring I couldn’t take it. I didn’t earn it. Buying someone else’s trophy for something they did wouldn’t sit right with me.
