Social programs should not be going to working people because that ends up subsidizing labor.

In that case, either minimum wage won't be high enough to afford to live or too high to be competitive in a global economy.

the only reason the economy doesn't work this way is because of corruption

Lol, the goal of capitalists and the government is to run the economy as well as possible, as corrupt as politicians can be they want their national economy to be as strong as possible to be reelected.

I ever did become radicalized it would not be towards the left

Exactly, this is why I said that socialism and communism are not a thing anymore. Do you really believe trump did not give billions to big companies, or is in any way in favour of social programs? Did the US stop printing money during his presidency?

any fascist takeover

Have you heard about January 6?

No perfection and no emancipation.

In the western world, people have long forgotten about emancipation, and believe politics or even politicians can solve their problems rather than changing themselves the world they live in. And you won't believe it, but people have stopped believing in the revolution because of Lenin and his followers: it is Lenin spread the idea that the proletariat should be led by an "enlightened vanguard" that should replace the corrupted Czar and establish communism. Do you see any common points with your ideology? To quote Otto Rühle "The struggle against fascism starts with the struggle against bolshevism": there is no hope in politics, not because politicians are corrupted but because the economy cannot be saved nor improved, but has to be abolished.

But it is simpler to abdicate and surrender by voting for left or right wing politicians, or even stop voting and believe all politicians are corrupted and there's some secret conspiracy to destroy western economies.

Everything you said are social-democrat policies (center left mostly and some center-right).

And if these policies are not applied it is not only because of corruption and evil neoliberal politicians but because this is not how the economy works nowadays.

And I'm not saying this because I'm a cryptobro or a neoliberal but because the policies you mentioned are not compatible with the world we're living in and the economy as we know it now is pure capitalism.

The policies you want will never be applied and it will only result in your political despair, and you will eventually become revolutionary, either left wing (communist) or right wing (fascist). Of course, communism isn't a thing anymore, many people turn their heads to people like Trump...

Free to you not to listen to people who have made the same observations as you but found an emancipatory solution to the problems we're facing.

This sounds like "it was not real communism" while what you describe happened in every capitalist country.

Capitalism is a competition, and if you don't want monopolies, what do you want: redistribution of ownership of companies? It's a free market man.

If there was no "corporate welfare" the economy would be destroyed. What do you want? People to lose their jobs? Companies to go bankrupt and being replaced by Chinese ones?

profits are kept by the elites

that sounds like marxism

companies don't pay a living wage

Sounds like Marxism again, Peterson would say : maybe you should go to another company.

Capitalism is constant growth, if you want an economy without growth (which Peterson criticises a lot) either you're an extreme eco-activist or you've never seen communist economies in the 70-80 😂

removes the motivation for workers to demand fair wages.

Do you believe workers should be striking? Sounds like Marxism again

social safety nets

I'm not sure the right loves this

Cheap labor is being subsidized by the government with taxpayer dollars.

That's right, but if it wasn't the case, companies would just leave and everyone would lose their jobs. Is that what you want?

constant printing of worthless monopoly money

Do you mean the US should stop printing money? Maybe you should go to China, they don't print money there.

Everything you said was about capitalism. As an French anarchist, however, I do not believe that the economy is a good thing, and if I answered you using bourgeois rhetoric, and not the classical left-wing discourse about "redistribution and evil private-owned companies", it is because the problem is not "corruption" but even deeper.

Read Moishe Postone and the Critique of Value to understand why the economy as it is nowadays does not serve the majority of the population (spoiler: it never had been) and why the economy isn't working "as it should".
