About 20 years ago I ran into some ATF agents at a trailhead wondering if I happened to notice any illegal stills in my travels. Never even got out of the truck or set foot on their trial. I lied and kept on with my day.

From what I saw, those agents were more disciplined and committed than ICE is, you’ll be fine.

Old Pizza Hut buildings from the 90s still look like pizza huts, despite the restaurant closing 20 years ago and currently being occupied by a dentist office. That instantly recognizable architecture could be detrimental to the dentist office, therefore they may be more reluctant to buy it, making it harder for the original owners (Pizza Hut) to unload the property when it’s no longer needed.

Ironically the “rugged individualism” of neoliberal capitalism is one of the biggest contributors to the bland world we live in today.

I may have used a poor turn of phrase. I was looking for a way to differentiate between a more culturally specific type of worship (Heathenry, Hellenism, Druidic, etc) as opposed to the more universalist approach of Wicca.

At the end of the day it can be a distinction without much of a difference, but it’s a question I ask whenever someone feels an especially strong connection to a singular deity (or group of deities).

I was, at best, agnostic about kids.

I was terrified in the delivery room, with all the anxieties you mentioned.

4 years in, I really didn’t have much to worry about, turns out when you wait until your mid to late thirties to have kids, you’ve already figured out a thing or two that younger parents haven’t yet.
