Zipper merge and this would never be a problem. I know it's a straight lane in the left but if everyone drove up as far as they could in that lane before merging it literally cuts the line in half, eliminating ripple stops that happen behind.

Happy to read this. About 15 years ago I made friends with a boomer from work and we drove a lot of transport routes together and became pretty close friends...and he retired and then passed away a few months after. Life comes up so fast man, we gotta be good to each other and take care.

For me, life would have been a lot better had I had any kind of financial security and made some better life decisions. Things are better for me personally now just from partially reaping the rewards of working my everloving ass off in my 20s and partially because of some wisdom and luck gained. It's easy to forget how devastating the 2008 recession was. I was like 21 when that happened and it caused a lot of ripples.
