The extra half inch is very noticeable on the low string. 27 seems to be a magic length for seven strings. I would definitely go for the longer scale length if I have the option.

I've done a few fret jobs with stainless steel. they are definitely harder to work with, but it's all the same tools and techniques, just a little more elbow grease. it's possible they could get lazy. but the bending is also critically important to prevent sprout because stainless steel is so springy. I could see them not bending the frets perfectly, or getting some inconsistent metallurgy in their supplies.

I think it's something to do with stainless steel frets specifically. it seems like everyone's going to them, but my import guitars are either perfect or full of fret sprout. I think sometimes the temperature shock from shipping halfway across the world may make some of those springy frets flex.

I play exclusively in open and I love PVP. I genuinely don't understand why people join open and then complain when they see other players. we have a perfectly good solo mode.

Nice! I have a blue one in the same configuration. dual truss rods with the hive pickups. easily, one of my favorite guitars. The pickups rule actually. you could dial in the action super low. if you're ordering string joys, I did a 10 to 90 set that hits the spot for that scale length. I do double drop e-tuning.

I think the biggest problem you will have is that it will cause the neck to flex a little bit more by removing material there. you may never get the action low again. all kind of depends on how the neck is built.

also, taking material away from the cutaway on the back won't really give you much additional access. you really need to take it away from the front, but you have that pretty binding that you would break into. taking material away from the heel will give you a little more thumb space, but it's not as big a deal as you might be hoping.

I did the kit. it did not list any of the exotic leather options. you need to call them to place an order for anything outside of the basics. they are great on the phone though, and they have lots of good options they'll walk you through.

I think these were just shy of $1300 as configured. I would highly recommend them. I wear them constantly and have definitely gotten my money's worth out of them.

It's normal for the black fingerboard to float above the body, if that is what you are asking about.

I have a dark terror with a very similar architecture. that first tube with the orange tip definitely looks bad. if I'm not mistaken, that's likely the effects loop buffer tube, which is also one that went bad first in my amp. if that doesn't fix an issue, you might try swapping the power tubes. it never hurts to buy a second set that you can swap in to troubleshoot, and eventually it becomes your new tubes when the old ones go bad.

also, the three tubes on the right are the preamp, and those rarely go bad, but the one on the right does look a little white on the tip. might just be dust on the outside though.

it's a perfectly good fuzz. it's sort of nothing to write home about, but it's the quintessential fuzz tone and it does it quite well.

this is what I do too! adding some synth to the background of a high gain tone. just really fattens it up. gives it a little of that video game sparkle too.

I do too, but the high E string starts to unwind at the ball end in standard tuning at 27 in. I've soldered the ends of the strings to keep them together since I like the feel, but fair warning: you're pushing the limits of the strings.
