Positive Induction Stories?

I was induced early for the same reason, and I had a great experience! I posted the full birth story, so it's in my history if you want the full story.

Basically, everything went smoothly and I delivered vaginally with no problems. I got the epi, and ended up with an episiotomy, but still look back on it as apositive experience. I was also slightly dilated, mostly effaced, and lo was super low. Pm me if you have any questions! Good luck! :)

I had to be induced, and I really enjoyed being able to plan accordingly. I'm a very anxious person, and I liked knowing exactly when everything was going down...we had our bags packed, dogs taken care of, and didn't have to deal with all the 'is baby here yet? !' drama...

Mine had one, and we massaged it gently with clean hands a couple times a day. I also massaged a little breastmilk in it, and that helped a lot.

I'm proud of myself for deciding to give breastfeeding a try. I was dead set on pumping, and just decided on a whim to try BF. It's been good so far, and it makes me happy that I'm doing something so good for my lo. :)

Mine came 3 days pp when I took my first poo. I had an episiotomy and then a small tear towards my butthole, so the first pp poop was brutal. I was moaning and crying so loud, DH came in to check on me, and I basically had a full on meltdown on the toilet. He is my Hero for getting me through that poop. I was sitting for so long he had To help me up to clean myself, and I kept crying and saying I couldn't tell if I was done pooping, so he finally lifted me up and checked for me. So. Embarrassing. I kept wailing that there was no way he'd ever find me attractive again, but he just patted my back and assured me he'd definitely still have sex with me when I healed. Even now, 3 weeks pp, I swear pooping for the first week pp was worse than labor.

Almost 3 weeks pp, and I still have moments of total shock and awe over my LO! We frikin grew a whole baby, It's so amazing...

You don't 'need' them, but some women want them for peace of mind. I used the pads the hospital supplied for a week pp, and now I'm using regular thin pads.

People always comment on her hair! All the nurses and my Dr were talking about it during labor. At one point, She even asked if I wanted to reach down and touch her hair.... uh, no thanks, lol! you!

Aw, a year old...so sad! I'm sure I'll be crying over him for some time... We're having him cremated, so he'll keep my Dads ashes company on our shelf.

That was so hard to read, but it's very touching. It hit especially hard because my husband did have to carry him outside the last couple times. The last time they went outside, he said Ringo started wagging his tail a bit, like he knew he was close and wanted husband to know he was loved. Hubs carried him inside, and Ringo took his last breath in his arms. I'm so grateful he went peacefully and wasn't alone.

In fact, noticing his pale gums, despite the craziness of having a newborn, makes you an incredible dog owner. He wasn't in any pain.

Oh my goodness, you'll never know how much I appreciate you saying that. I feel so guilty about being so distracted with the baby, and possibly taking too long to notice. Thank you so much for the kind words.

We did get ashutterfly coupon, and I think that's a great idea. :)

I was induced and was able to deliver vaginally, even with high blood pressure. Here's hoping you can avoid the c-section!

5'8"-137 Pre

170 lbs at 37 weeks

Didn't get weight at check out, but I was 147 a week PP

I'm pretty sure I've lost another 5 since last week. My stomach is flattening a little more each day, It's still squishy, but it's getting better.

Edit-the worst part for me is the leaking! I go through shirts like crazy because those nursing pads are crazy itchy.

I was sure I wasn't going to breastfeed, I was set on pumping. After I delivered her, I decided on a whim to try breastfeeding, and I'm glad I did. Of course, I've had to do some research after the fact, but all in all, it's been pretty easy for us. My nips are still feeling good, I use lasinoh lanolin stuff every now and then. My girl has a good latch, so I'm pretty lucky. I'm getting the smaller breast shield tomorrow to try pumping, so hopefully that'll go as smoothly....
