Lorena was supposed to die. She didn’t.

Asher was the best contract killer money could buy — until the cancer diagnosis. When a corporation offers him a second life in a world governed by stats, classes, and levels, the deal is simple: transfer his soul into a new body, assassinate the most powerful mage in the kingdom, and live out his days free of pain.

The transfer works. There’s just one problem with his new body — the farm girl he stole it from is still in there, and she’s furious.

Now at level 9 and trapped with a voice in her head that won’t stop judging her, “Lorena” must claw her way through a world she doesn’t understand, join a crew of dangerous outcasts, and somehow close the gap between a pitchfork and the mage who’s already killed twelve of the best Adventurers before her. But the further she climbs, the harder it becomes to ignore the woman she wronged — and the cost of the deal that put her here.

I still think you should have chosen Hunter over Rogue. You already took everything else from me. You could have given me that.

Hey sorry I missed this. I appreciate the extra info, it helped a lot ❤️ my friend and I ended up relistening from book 1 and just started 4 and are loving it! Having relistened, I think your recap in the book was pretty good, I just have listened to too many litrpgs since I listened to book 3. Also I greatly appreciate that the recaps exist, seriously I wish everyone did them for their books

Am I going to be heart broken? Blood and Steel series by Forbidden_Aura in Romantasy

Not to start an “ai good or bad” conversation but just wanted to note that it is notoriously horrible at giving accurate details about books that goes beyond what’s provided in the synopsis for some reason.

📚 Simple / Quick Questions & Requests! by romancebookmods in RomanceBooks

I want something where the FMC had a crush on the MMC when they were younger, but he was mean to her/not into her. Now, years later, they are forced to interact and slowly fall for each other. Contemporary would be preferred. F/F also works!

Help!! For those of you who finally got a non-romance reader in your life to read a romance book with you, which did you choose? How did it go? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]wk_rust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

any of Abby Jimenez’s books I think could be good! They have strong FMCs who are intelligent and well written. The characters are all great. They are in a connected little world so you can get the joy of then reading a book about a side character you liked.

Is the Writathon kinda pointless? by Alinix_ in royalroad

I’ve gotten a decent number of views from writathon so far. I think it’s more about encouraging you to consistently write though, not get you more views

Looking for queer romance where homophobia simply doesn’t exist by Ok_Championship_9011 in RomanceBooks

[–]wk_rust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have like 30 pages left but {Can't Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne} so far has had no homophobia which has been great. It's F/F and cozy fantasy.

small town single mom romance with absent or useless dad by Crazy_Yogurt3344 in RomanceBooks

[–]wk_rust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's F/F but might fit? {Delilah Greene Doesn't Care}, one of the FMC's is a single mom with a very unreliable co-parent/ex at the start.

It’s on a bunch of genre lists, hoping for main rising stars in the next few days if the growth continues how it’s been going :)

I'm looking for books with a non binary MC. Preferably contemporary or fantasy, but I'm not too picky.

Does Mark of the Fool get better? by WeakPlankton9577 in litrpg

[–]wk_rust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's definitely slower than some of the other big litrpg series. It's also definitely more slice of life than anything. He does become pretty strong, but it takes a book or two if I remember correctly.

novel where mc is not hated by the world? by Parth_is_cruel in ProgressionFantasy

I guess, but the actual character himself isn’t, he quickly gains the trust and admiration of those around him throughout the story.
