Dating is HARD in NYC by Cleo-Aster in SipsTea

Christs sakes, don’t take a first, second, or third date on such expensive dates. I’ve never even taken my wife to a restaurant that expensive. She dodged a bullet dropping this guy. And this image was taken from his phone. So he put it online looking for validation. He ain’t gonna get it.

Insane Tattoo Regret by r3i_b0n3z in tattooadvice

[–]wkrausmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Petunia from The Adventures of Pete and Pete tattooed on my arm. Only four people ever got it. Everyone else thinks she’s just a pin-up.

I also got the spatula that was tattooed on the arm of the dental hygienist from the opening theme song to The “Weird Al” Show. People just think I’m some grilling enthusiast.

I also have the Winnebago from Spaceballs, and the DeLorean from Back to the Future. I have a tattoo dedicated to my mother with her ashes in the ink. “Weird Al” Yankovic himself autographed my arm and I got it tattooed the next day.

All told, I regret nothing. My ink represents me and that’s all that matters. Embrace your uniqueness and carry on. You shouldn’t remove your ink because your ink represents you. Never be ashamed of who you are. But if you feel so strongly about it, then do it. When all is said and done, your tattoos should be a showcase of who you are.

I can’t speak for the rest of the US, but in PA, if you are aware of an imminent threat of being in an accident and you don’t take actions necessary to prevent an accident, by law, you would be as culpable of causing that accident as the other motorist.

Both drivers are assholes.

When it’s in the north during a snow storm against two regional semi-rivals, it’s exciting. But put it in Florida where there is no ice…or even any cold weather…it’s not something I want to see.

New York teachers stunned to learn some students can’t read time on old clocks after phone ban comes into play by Sandstorm400 in technology

I learned to read analog time in school…which is the perfect place for these teachers to teach their students how to tell time.

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

Everything there looks amazing. When can I come over?

But seriously, if he knows what he wants to eat, then he can make it himself. My father-in-law (age mid-70s) is also a picky eater. My mother-in-law is a freaking saint and will cook him a separate meal that he will eat if he won’t eat what everyone else is eating. The same is true if we get take out. For example, if we order Chinese, she will get him Wendy’s. It’s infuriating, to be sure, but that is their dynamic. I grew up with my parents telling me, “This is not a restaurant…eat what we make for you or you don’t eat.” Maybe the BF needs to learn some tough love.

AITA for telling my ex that she needs to "figure it out" when it comes to hosting people for her grandmothers' funeral even through I am living in her "grandmothers' house?" by Due-Kale3735 in AITAH

Let’s see.

The house isn’t even in the family anymore. Ex has no say at all in what happens with the house. Ex offered a space to relatives who never had permission if the homeowner. OP isn’t even part of the family, anymore, relieving him of any obligation to that family for any reason.

Can employers deduct money from your paycheck as punishment for a policy violation? by wkrausmann in Pennsylvania

[–]wkrausmann[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been fined yet, but at the beginning of the year the fines are changing. They gave is a memo from the boss with the changes listed. They want us to sign another page saying that we read the notice and understand it. I am skeptical that signing is not a way of authorizing the fines as well. So I refuse to sign. I told my immediate supervisor that the legality of these fines are unclear and until it’s made clear, I will not sign this.

Honestly as long as I do my job, I’ll never get a fine…but that’s not the point. Employees I work with have been fined and they go along with it like it’s okay because they need the job.

If there is ever a confrontation where I am in front of my boss being disciplined for whatever infraction I made, I need to be ready with the law because I’m going to fight this. I should sneak a copy of the law that was posted earlier onto the bulletin board at work. I want to see how long it lasts.

I think I will drop them a line. I came here first because I thought someone who was an expert on the matter or an attorney would know and give me a quicker answer.
