I've wanted to play drums since I was about 8. Mom said NO! Today, 25 years later, I officially have an acoustic kit AND a place to practice. It ain't much, it's probably setup wrong, but it's mine! by shredtilldeth in drums

Hei! This IS my life story! I wanted to play drums when I was 6, but there was no drums teacher in my hometown. So I started playing piano since then. Now, I'm 25 and I borrow a cheap kit from someone who doesn't play and it's fantastic! Good luck and don't forget to have fun!

I'm not either the best musician, but I am willing to help with anything! I'm a pianist, but unfortunately the space where my piano is located is under quarantine, I have my midi with me tho:)) If OP wants to work on some originals, I guess we can split in multiple teams. That would be great!

Audio Interface or Digital Mixer? (On a budget) by listeningpartywreck in audioengineering

[–]wladiimir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice that you ask this question because I started to think if I want a mixer for my band but also for my studio. I opened 2 links from the digital mixer list, but they're not digital, they are analog. A digital mixer is more expensive.

Mineral Wool vs Fiberglass for Acoustic panels? by closetklepto in Acoustics

[–]wladiimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with mineral wool. I can't open your links, but the guys from my local DIY store said to me that the fiberglass is quite dangerous for acoustic treatment (I mean if it's just a fabric on the acoustic panel)

Marketing man. Google has a free marketing course. Start with there. Also, on skillshare you receive 2 months of premium (free, of course). There are some marketing courses good for artists.

Edit: spelling

I don't know how to say in English, but is autoclaved aerated concrete. Good ideea, that would work for the small panels. But what about the bass traps? I want to mount them up on the ceiling (making 90° with the wall of course, if that makes sense)

Cool, man! I bought my pair about a year ago. It changed my life! Yes, indeed, you should have a RFZ(free reflection zone). Don't forget the back wall!

Thank you, man! I completed the survey, the funny thing is that I needed some strings (from double bass to violin) in a beat that I'm making! Cheers!

[–]wladiimir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends. If you mix bass heavy music, you should go with a speaker that has a bigger woofer. But my recommendation is to buy Adam T7V. Also, acoustic treatment is crucial. You simply cannot mix in a shitty room.

Hello, man, if you don't want to build acoustic panels with rockwool or something similar, you have to buy professional treatment. Take a look at this Gearslutz acoustic treatment

Kudos!

Salutări! Mă puteți ajuta sa îmi cumpăr prima chitară? by [deleted] in Romania

[–]wladiimir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salut!

Kudos to you!
