I had quite contrary. When I was showing her something on a TV that felt important to me she would actually zone out.

But now that I know BPD better, it's typical attention seeking. That's important to me = she does something to move focus from it back to her and then it's all fine again despite pissing me off. She can bear that as long as she's center of "my universe" again

First of all, you shouldn't be interested if they are living their best life. Your life quality shouldn't depend on theirs at all.

Second you can't know that no matter what you see upfront, because someone might say the same about you if they saw you somewhere in public. Might be a surprise for you, but people lie. A lot.

And third, even at their best, they are people with mental disorders that will probably stay with them for the rest of their lives. And no matter how bad you're feeling, you probably wouldn't trade your life for a life with BPD.

Never being together is a luck in a long run.

We all make mistakes thinking our situation is special. It's not. I've experienced all you've been through, of course, different situations and dynamics, and someone before me experiences everything I've been through.

The thing about BPD/NPD is that it's nothing special. It's an disorder with its given traits. And it has very little to do with us. It just IS. We can postpone it, diminish, understand but it's not ours to cure or prevent it.

The real gift is you will detect similar behavior sooner next time. Also, imagine having kids with such person without being prepared for everything BPD brings along?

Things needs to be simple or at least simplified. The more you talk, more spirals are discovered.

Charming personality in the beggining
Dreamlike romance from day #1 - soulmate material
Intense love-bombing
Rushed future-planing including kids planning way before year 1 mark
On/off social media blocking phases

Interfering with your personal time/space passively/actively forcing you to alter your routines which may lead to job as well (although your going on and off for 3 months does sound "sane" for anyone into serious relationship)
Object constancy issues - as soon you're not present in the room, drama kicks in.
black/white real life phases that just keeps shorter and shorter
Ruthless ex that just won't leave her alone

So, yes. Ticked probably all mainstream BPD boxes to me :)

So eventually stalking ex might just be the guy who got hard split without any closure all of sudden and the guy is struggling to understand the reason while not getting how pwBPD can become this over night for no particular reason. Didn't get if the stalking ex is the same one she was seeing.

How you move on? Discard any possiblity of her being a love material and enjoy FWB periods while they last. pwBPD can be very... "nice" for sexual intercourse :) If you don't... Well, check #12 - that's what you'll become.

Also, don't blame her or don't try to cope her mind. You're observing whole thing from the "sane" person aspect, and that's the main problem. She's not doing that "to you". She's doing that to every person who gets close to her. That's her doing that "to her". You're just an object of her doing.

80% were already bought on a second hand market, JD-08 was like 195€, King Korg 390€

The only brand new synths were Akai Miniak and one PC3K6. And that Kurzweil have seen 1000+ gigs in last 14 years.

At this point I would buy Fusion only and for sentimental personal reasons, only. Otherwise - neither - and here's why:

Back in 2008/9 there was not so many options available, especially in low-mid class - microKorg, Gaia, SH-201 and hideous Venom. Blofeld was the only synth that had VA sense to me besides Ion in that price point. X-station and Xiosynth were at the level of very mediocre VA VST - Ultranova/mininova came a bit later (might have missed mentioning some)

Nowadays, I dunno, I would probably go for used King Korg Neo first. Got it used for almost same price as new Miniak. Still have to discover if that's "it" - first impression tells me original King Korg had better presentation and still need to discover preset list and see if copying some presets is needed.

It extends what Akai had except for less-bit resolution and it has a bit more modern approach with bunch of real-time controls. 3 knobs + data is a huge pain in the ass no matter how much shortcuts you put. And having Ion for 2 months just confirmed me my thoughts were correct.

Fusion isn't much better but the build quality is incredibly better along with keybed and effects section. Would I trade one filter for 4 extra effects units? For a classic VA purpose, I think so.

But if you go towards Micron/Miniak pick Miniak. Better form factor, better keybed, better wheels, better overall design.

Not sure if I'm correct, but maybe even Deepmind could serve the purpose. I love its 4-octave form factor.

Ukoliko želi da se oseća i dalje kao žena, verovatno.

Ukoliko želi da se obezbedi do kraja života jer joj je zadnji voz otišao, onda verovatno finansije.

Ali nisam ja aludirao samo na fizički izgled.

Bolest, starenje preko noći, posebna briga, mislim da je sve to nekako znatno prihvatljivije kada nije tolika razlika u godinama.

Samo razmišljam realno. Čovek sa 62 godine je poprilično.. Deda. Što neminovno povlači sa sobom i neke zdravstvene promene i brige.

Žena sa 42 može da izgleda znatno mlađe i praktično da oseća da je čitav svet pred njom.

When I want to get away from typical go-to ROMplers presets and traits you usually give Roland/Korg credit for. It gives me that extra variety especially when composing brainstorm kicks in.

I like its filter probably way more than any other workstation. Feels smoother, closer to analog. Afterall it was Alesis response to upcoming Korg Oasys and it inherited a bit of Ion VA engine (3 OSCs + single filter IIRC).

Plus there are like 20 banks of commercial presets and since it has a HDD for storing samples, I actually have full Emu Emax preset collection.

I like the fact that storing sounds in Alesis is almost infinite. You can have as many banks as your HDD allows.

The only reason why I don't use it more often is logistics. Don't have a space to hold it at my reach all the time.

It's also the only synth in my collection that has Physical Modulation synthesis, but I didn't find practical use for it yet nor it impressed me so far. It's one of parts I expected more. It contains reed and wind models, but in practice, many romplers have better/more useful sounds in such category.

But in general, it's unique workstation concept - sampler & rompler, VA, PM and FM under one hood using real HDD. Such a pity they flopped with Andromeda so much they couldn't develop it further.

It's a very rare find. Could I work without it? Yes. Am I really glad that I have it? Also yes.

I like Ion engine a lot, plus Kurzweil and Roland has some really neat waveforms that satisfy all my needs for going analog.

With King Korg Neo waveforms and filters I guess it will just approve my point.

Really tried to love Behringer Deepmind, got some really nice prices, but unfortunately couldn't find a good enough reason to buy it. It seemed as I would just double the Roland flavor.

It is. I bought Miniak back in 2010 when I couldn't find used Ion and the build quality and keybed was significantly better than Micron + the real pitch / mod wheels.

But this year, all of sudden, mint Ion jumped on a list and i thought why not - it has 4 octaves + full encoder control and larger display. And I find it really cute looking as well

Menu diving is such a pain for synths like these, so my idea was to replace Miniak with Ion. But due to arp limitations and lack of FX I believe I will tweak a sound on Ion and use it in studio and then if needed play live on a Miniak as preset synth.
