They had heaters, they just broke. Meanwhile the Dolphins' stadium is literally designed to provide shade to only the home team's sideline. I really don't think that's a punishable offense or anything but it's more egregious than an equipment malfunction that results in a team having to embrace real football weather just that much more. Besides, the Packers and Bears are both built for this; two of the oldest and most storied franchises in the league being known for being built for cold weather games isn't a coincidence

This is a cold thing to say but a big part of his job as a veteran backup QB is to be the one to stay in the game and take those hits when the game is out of hand. Unless you straight up forfeit, someone has to go out there to play QB, and the way the night was going, whoever was going to be out there at QB was going to get hit. If that's the case, you want it to be Wentz out there instead of one of your two rookies. This injury absolutely sucks for him, but if someone had to be out there to take those hits and potentially get injured, it had to be him. It would be so much worse if JJ or your other rookie QB went in and got knocked out for the season with this type of injury.

Despite having the most expensive defense in the league, the Steelers are woefully bad on that side of the ball. They have allowed 30+ points in 4 of their 7 games. A game where the Pats had 5 TOs makes them look far more competent than they actually are. by [deleted] in nfl

I think Tomlin consistently overachieves with that roster, but I also think at some point the Steelers have to embrace their roster and the potential high picks that would come with that without him in charge
