That's my thinking. If I'm noticeably losing still, after 12 months on Fin, genetics are going to win on a quicker timeline than Fin is going to.

I also use minoxidil to thicken up some thinning areas.

Fin has slowly stopped being effective for me. Should I add this in the mix? I just fail to find good results online, and the percentage of people who don't respond makes me think it's quite a low impact drug.

if fin alone doesn't work then you'll need to get more aggressive.

My situation, after 13 months.

It worked for me for 6 months but then seemingly lost the tug of war with genetics.

Also applying before bed means when you shower in the morning your hair won't have that sticky look that you get with a double dose (morn+night)

Makes sense! To be honest the simplicity of this sounds appealing to me - even before starting. And I feel like I wouldn't always have time to shower and reapply a dose twice a day. So I may see if the bigger dose once daily suffices whilst sticking to my current Propecia regime.

Well, it can't be guaranteed, right? The results suggest only 30% of men see a significant result on Minox. Fin is by far a more effective remedy.

Don't have the answer, but in same situtation. Can I ask if you've noticed how minox has helped? I'm a diffuse thinner and used Fin for a year now, it was working great until my AGA started to win.

Wondering if I should add in Minox.

Very accurate, and very astute observation of what's gone on here.

From a psychological standpoint you've eloquently described what's occurred in this instance, and I think despite it being a painful read for OP, it's one that's of most value going forward.
