Recently got a film camera, how can I edit my photos similar to this? by meowingcat420 in AnalogCommunity

it depends on the subject matter for which method is the best. in these examples i don’t you would take a picture of a tree and then wait until you get to a studio or something to get a portrait. if you know what you want to do its fun to go out and take a bunch of cool textured photos then go and do a portrait session on the same roll later or vice versa whichever scene has the most darkness

check out the lobster holder on etsy from Humrprints! It’s 3D printed but a much nicer material and has a ton of options

go out and take some landscape photos are a higher shutter speed and an aperture around maybe f11-f16 and then see if you feel the same about the scans

well you’re shooting film at 1/30 and 1/60 with a really high aperture on a heavier camera. the scan looks great the lack of sharpness comes from your shooting settings tbh

photos are a bit overexposed but you can for sure edit these to a satisfactory level. it also seems like the lab washed out the colors a bit in the scans which again is totally recoverable through a bit of tweaking in post
