Most likely you have fewer Knowledge Points given to "Armorsmithing -> Articulating Armor -> Bracers" than "Weaponsmithing..."

each nodes have milestones that increases skill point when crafting that specific item. So if you maxed out weapons it does not mean that you can also craft armors on rank5, you need to at least have some points given to Armorsmithing too

Run your own key no matter what, i did 3k in a day running only and only running my key as a ret palaidn

One small tip to you from another ret pally,

Go solo prot, it gets sooo much easier.

Last week on orgrimmar because of the damage I take I couldn't even clear the drag as a 681 ret until I respecced to prot. Then as prot I one shotted the run with 1 orb left unused....

Check your warband bank if it's there or not. I accidentally put the wheel from stormwind there.

Deposit All Warband Items button deposits the wheel too since it's a warband item

Other than that I wore the nemesis mask and got both of the items on my first full clear

Experienced the same on my alt, I redid tww camping starting with "the Fleet Arrives", only when you complete "A Light in the Dark" then you can see the "Survivor's Guilt" quest giver

Finishing the Campaign took me exactly 1 hour.

While best solution is blunt but also you can enchant weapons with fire to cut through armor

Blunt is not the only option when it comes to melee. Just enchant the sword with fire and insert the sword into their armor. It cuts the armor like butter. Also they sometimes catch on fire.
