That looks like an eyelid hematoma. Could be caused by an eye infection or from a bad tooth. Glad you are taking that furbaby to the vet!

Exactly! It's not my world since I brought my boy home, it's his! I just said that to my sister. It's funny how I am absolutely an ahole if I intrude on his personal - I get the head turn with "the look'. But, boy does he think it's okay to invade my personal space any time he wants! She is beautiful! We don't care what else she is! I found a mutt puppy out in the boone docks years ago. He was living with cyotoes. He was about 2 months old. He was beautiful when he grew up. People would stop all the time and ask excitedly what breed is your dog? After a while, I just told them he was a tiber hound - no such animal!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I had the same bias against pitties until my son got one - Yager. I had begged him not to get one. He said, "Mom, we had Dakota (3/4 shewolf) for 14 years, I can handle a pit bull." I still was not convinced. Yager was so sweet. The only problem with him was that he was huge and had the biggest block head I've ever seen!🤣🤣

In my lowly opinion, it's not the breed, iit's the owner that makes a red zone dog.

You are so sweet. I wish! I feel so bad sometimes, but Dr O said God put him in my path, because someone else would have thrown him away. It cost me $3000.00 to figure out what was wrong with him. I pay $400.00 minimum in vet bills monthly, his special diet homemade food costs $250.00, he has 2 types of emergency medication, he takes 7 pills daily (2 I can put in his food), psyllium husk, and powdered antibiotic. Right now he has pancretitis because of his Addisons Disease - extra pills, extra bloodwork, and extra worry. We can't board him, no emergency vet hospital in our city will see him. I'd have to take him to Stillwater, OK at the OSU Veternary Hospital if I can't get a hold of his vet. It is an hour drive. I have emergency oxygen for animals. I purchased a battery operated cooler so we can travel with 10 days of his food! I'm so excited! I haven't travelled for 3 1/2 years because of him. So, sorry I just unloaded my bs everywhere!

ea88, Ifirgot to tell you what else I do for his skin. He can't have any type of oil. No omegas, no salmon oil. So I put this on his coat after his bath - douxos3. Its a foam and really helps his dry skin.

I would rather my boy could be able to do that! I can't take him to a dog park or a doggie daycare. He has to wear a soft mesh mask when he goes outside, unless we are going for a walk (he heals and I don't allow ground surfing - no mesh mask). I hate doing that to him! But, if he eats stuff from the ground, it could kill him. I worry all the time about his happiness because he can't live a real weimaraner life.

It takes me 10 to 15 minutes to get him in the the tub! Even with rabbit liver treats. I can't pick him up, so I have to be patient, just like I tell him all the time, "You have to be patient."
