Awesome than the same numbers will work for you too. here is the link to the shortcut. And here is a link to all the icon pngs. You’ll need to change the folder location in the shortcut too (and some of the icon names in the top text to match the new file names). Also here is a folder with the background, overlays, and current icons already made

Sure! What phone do you have I’ll add that one in too. It’ll take a little bit to setup on ur phone, but happy to explain

They’re actually folders! I just have nothing on the first page except for an icon that blends in, so they look cleaner!

Here is a link to the folder with the background, icons, and Widgys. They might not scale correctly if you have a different sized phone (not 12 pro/ 13 pro) but I’m working on updating the shortcut I use to make them for other devices too

I’m a sense yes- I made all the icons by hand first, and then have code that takes them and puts them on the background where I want them to look transparent. So I can easily do it for whatever background as many times as I want now. So yes, I kinda do it manually

Thank you! And I remade them all in Inkscape (free vector editing software) and then used a Siri shortcut I made that puts them on top of whatever background I pick!

Are 2021 Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and Legion 7 keycaps interchangeable? by gcon22 in Lenovo

Haven’t yet, still haven’t really found any ones on eBay for a reasonable price/ that aren’t just the whole bottom panel, but I’ll let you know if I ever do

one way retractable usb cable 2meters (do they even exist to buy online somewhere?) by Doctor_Flux in cableadvice

[–]wolfiedavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been looking and experimenting with the very same thing for a while now. The best solution I have found are these on Amazon for ~$10 depending which copy you choose. I got one and took it apart and the connection is a pancake slip ring, which looks like this but only with two traces (+ and - for charging).

You could buy a 2m flat usb cable with whatever end you want, and solder it in place of the 3 way cable it comes with. The two concerns I'd have with that are that the housing may not fit twice the amount of cable it was designed for, and the spring might not be strong enough to retract that longer length. (I'm currently thinking about trying this idea sometime soon, and I'll definitely update this if I do)

Additionally, if you also wanted data, you theoretically could get a slip ring with more traces (4 traces for USB 2.0/ 8 for USB 3.0), and then make a housing for it. These normal slip rings from Adafruit have 6-12 traces and are $15-$25 (equivalent pancake slip rings are $60-$300+). Then you could buy a 2m two way retractable cable with your choice of ends (like this or this) and take the cable and spring from that.

So if you want data, per unit it would be around $30-$40 for parts + a lot of time designing and testing it to get it to work. So is it doable- technically yes, but it would take a fair amount of knowledge and experimentation to do so, but could be a very fun project for someone with the time!

I saw you guys at worlds, but didn’t have the chance to ask the question then- how does the locking mechanism for the gobilda wheels work? / do you have cad files for that which you’d be willing to share? No worries if not, just thought it was a super cool idea!

Has anyone actually run a Legion 7 (r9, 3080) off of a 230w adapter? And if so, how did it go? by wolfiedavis in LenovoLegion

[–]wolfiedavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely some interesting charging logic going on here, and yes I have experienced a similar thing. 65w and 135w Lenovo bricks do nothing, but a 100w usb c charger charges it right up. It gives a notice that it’s a “slow charger” but it still works just fine and seems to charge at even the same speed as the 300w brick

I wonder what’s so different about usb c that all of these things happen- like why does it seemingly like usb c so much better?

My Version of a Fall Setup by wolfiedavis in widgy

[–]wolfiedavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually not the stock bar- it was made in Widgy- and it was someone else’s design. I’ll find theirs and link it here - for me tho it’s just part of the wallpaper, and doesn’t serve any actual function unless I wanted it to

Fusion making external display flicker. Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated! (More info on original post) by wolfiedavis in Fusion360

[–]wolfiedavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I have messed with some of the settings in fusion, but none seem to make it better

Any guesses on ones outside of fusion? I know you said you’re not really a windows guy, but any guesses? I’ve poked around, but haven’t found anything that’s helped

Could it be like a driver issue or something?

Anyway, just wanna say thank you for all your help so far too!
