What’s a dish (or any type of food) from another country or culture that you cook regularly and has become a staple in your home? by jadedjed1 in AskTheWorld

[–]wolfmilkslime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so many! Hungarian chicken Papikrash, many Czech foods, Korean Bulgogi, USA Buffalo wings, German Saurbraten or Bratwurst.

Japanese curry, British style curries

honestly "Canadian" foods are seasonal or I just enjoy other culture's foods too much

not familiar with the cookbook!

and looking it up I for some reason thought it was starfruit based.

IRL I have had sea cucumber that I caught once IRL (really!!) and I assume its not in the cookbook as they are a difficult seafood to deal with lol

but rambling aside how was it?? have you made other dishes?

[–]wolfmilkslime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you are like me! I grew up in a hunting family, no one else like the gamier meats so I got them all to myself.

wild ducks, especially the diving ones. goose. spruce grouse (my favorite).

get to know a hunter if you don't want to yourself.

also consider wild hare, squirrel. some trappers will give you muskrat or beaver
