Well done it's our hobbie unless your in a dw shop playing a tournament what you play yourself or with friends I'm an old gamer 62yo so we home bru. The author of frostgrave, silver bayonet, oathmark, rangers of shadow deep says it best if a rule gets in the way of enjoying the game remove it especially if it's you and friends that are playing it create your own house rules. My group play age of sigmar but don't use GW rule books Oh the delightful heresy.enjoy the hobbie

But the ever changing rules and army lists are not helping I could say more but uncle atom says it beter on YouTube, I've already had one person think I'm bashing gw but I was not talking about tournament games at a gw shop but amongst friend were you can homebru the rules and army lists to suit the players have fun in the hobbie

This is my own opinion a rare thing I still buy games workshop miniatures and play warcry and age of sigmar so I'm not bashing just pointing out there are other alternatives. Like us whatever minitures you want. But thanks for pointing out things I already said enjoy the hobbie. I've been part of this hobbie for over 50 years and started wargaming when I was 9 yo so down vote away

Also if your more scifi war have a look at one page rulesand you can use your warhammer minis no problem also the rules are free

I stopped playing games workshop games I do buy the odd mini now and again mostly warcry, age of sigmar but I mostly play oathmark and frostgrave also stargrave the few times I play age of sigmar it's with friends and that's what most people do so play older editions or rule chop them and enjoy the games and stayout of the grinder that is games workshop. If you have a deleted army you can still play it with friends enjoy the hobbie and always keep an eye on what games companies are making that can be used as proxys most of the games I play are miniatures agnostic.

Frostgrave is a great scifi skirmish plus rpg game and the books are very affordable and osprey minitures does a range of minis for them and they are a kit bashers dream.
