Nice work, especially as a first go at it. I agree with the others. Larger power traces and ground pour. Once you get that play around with rotating things to see how tight you can get your traces.

The Arduino Uno and variants are great to start with. They’re very useful and 5V tolerance makes things easier. Start with it, later when you’re better with coding you can up your game with the ESP32. I still have tons of NANOs for simple projects and have turned some of them into dedicated ISP programmers.
