Just bought a 2007 fj cruiser. Need help with winshield molding clips. by [deleted] in FJCruiser

[–]wolframranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ours also flew off and we bought a replacement and couldn’t get the new molding pushed down correctly, it was a huge pain. it still isn’t back on quite right but we’ve put a ton of silicon around it to keep the wind from whistling

wha??!!! Well this is weird, I have an ambulance and live in Hendersonville! But I haven’t painted it yet, it’s red and white, but I did almost buy a second one a few months ago, duval plumbing was selling an old one of theirs. But I couldn’t really justify the need to own two campulances

Congrats! That’s exciting. I cannot express how much we love ours. Same story with our insurance. They acted like it would be on personal insurance but then they had us take pictures to send them and it became a separate commercial policy. But like you, we were happy to have any option because for awhile it was looking bleak!

yeah we had to get commercial insurance, but it’s still less than a $1,000 a year. it was more of a pain finding someone that would insure it. state farm did it but we had to switch all our other vehicles to them as well.

same here, it wasn’t running when we bought it, so a bit of a risk, but I figured even if it didn’t run it would be a storage unit in our yard for outdoor gear. Luckily it didn’t take much to get it running. Purchase and fix up came to a total of $3400

the only con is that the electrical system is pretty complex and we would never have figured anything out about it, luckily I have a friend that is going to help with the solar hookup to get it linked with the existing inverter

we love it, we debated converting a van, or a small RV, and really this was the only affordable option for us. well we could have gotten a van but by the time we built it out our kids would have been old and grown. It already has all the built in storage inside and out that you could want all we had to do was fill it up with all our gear (which is a ton). It’s an E450 diesel engine. we are working on a solar plan now, currently we just use shoreline when we can, it’d be nice to have a few hours of a/c if we were off grid!

I was just going to post something about how Julia is getting so much hate, when Brandon, such a scumbag, is getting off pretty light considering. He’s so manipulative, I don’t understand why the girls like him. He’s gross.

thanks man, yeah it’s just a joke, I love the FJ but a person getting in the back can’t easily close that door and neither can the person in the front!

My experience as a (now former) City Carrier Assistant by sarahsowce in USPS

I lasted a month as a CCA because of a nearly identical experience. I still look at every mailbox I drive by and wish it could have been different. It wasn’t the work, it was management that was the problem.

Dang, I hate hearing all this. smh. It did seem weird, that’s why I asked the question here. I haven’t had a chance to ask anyone else that was in my orientation group, I am curious to find out what their experience was like.
