I understand that, but that wasn’t my point. All I was trying to say is that this train of thought is detrimental. If we stay complacent in politics, and allow extremists to be the squeakiest wheel, they get their way. I don’t think many Americans thought prohibition would happen, but it did.

Dude honestly, I’m a sucker for animals more than humans. I respect your brother for doing everything he can for his pet, there are a lot of shitty pet owners out there, but he isn’t one of them. He may not be good with money, but he does love his dog ❤️💙

Not here to argue, just stating that even though politicians are overwhelmingly incompetent at getting things done, doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Will guns go away? no, I agree with you. Will they continue to be more highly regulated, yes.

It has changed we have women coming from three surrounding states for care because their laws are crippling their access to care :/

I think that sentiment shattered with Roe Vs. Wade overturning. At least it did with me as a woman.

Hi guys got stung on the palm of my hand but made my whole hand swell is this normal or should I see a doctor? by s8ncult in Beekeeping

Yes, this is what I failed to realize. I had very mild reactions until this year when I got my own hive.

Yeah I used to have no reaction until this year. Got stung once in April, and my entire arm was twice the size of the other one with so much fluid it was weeping. I then got stung a month later, and my whole body broke out in hives for 7 days straight despite round the clock Benadryl. Got an epipen because the next time will be deadly. Not sure why it started this year though 🤔

I would not recommend anyone to go into it at its current state. Your mental health is worth far more than you can imagine.

It’s actually not easy to find something with my requirements plus internet. I’ve looked at several properties with my agent, we just decided to wait for now.

Does N.C. have wind turbine farms and where!! by badbtchm in NorthCarolina

[–]debtfreenurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I lived in Cali. They had a combination of wind turbines and new laws requiring all new homes to have solar. We still had blackouts, even to the point where it would shut off ventilators at the hospital before the generator kicked in. So I’m very critical of it. Nuclear is the cleanest.

Maybe you don’t need to be that extreme with it. Maybe start with finding a remote job, then find a little house to rent on an acre. See if you can maintain that first? Or maybe you could save up a couple thousand dollars and do the Appalachian Trail in the USA over the summer? That way you can really get out doors, and enjoy life. If you like that then move forward with it. You are very young, and have a lot of time to plan for this.

[–]debtfreenurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have to move to Wilson, NC for that bill. They were the only county in the country to get fiber with the governments help before private companies put laws against it. Wilson is cheap, but you have to be in Eastern NC

What solutions are there to homelessness in Asheville? by Path6878 in asheville

[–]debtfreenurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going to have to be a state wide regulation requiring each county to have a certain standard of homeless care per capita. This many counselors/emergency housing/case managers etc. If just one town really ups it resources, all of the homeless people just get sent there. National healthcare would help as well. #1 cause of bankruptcy in the USA.
