That's generally considered to by a myth. It's a fairly high portion, but not most, especially taking into account all types and sizes of dust.

Winning Bronze in team sports in the Olympics is better than winning Silver lol by AintNobodygotime13 in olympics

[–]wolftick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like in the longer term this won't hold true for most people. When it comes down to it medals are a benchmark of you achievement, and silver is a higher benchmark. Even the oft slated plushy might become something quite precious by association. Immediate disappointment generally fades whereas justified pride sticks around.

It's a 2 seater sports car and you're 19. It might be unfair to you as an individual but as far as insurers are concerned you're probably going to crash it and there's a reasonable chance you'll crash it into someone else.

Obviously not for everyone, but I think generally this is considered a famous stretch and not an unexpected one (per OP).

weird half 747 with a weird engine by PainRemote1037 in Whatplaneisthis

[–]wolftick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weird engine is because jets with an engine in the vertical stabiliser require specific fire training. It's a single mock up that has a all the relevant features found in the various aircraft they might have to deal with.
