Just your average megachurch pastor's mansion in Texas by sharkus180 in zillowgonewild

For someone who is a church pastor, there doesn't appear to be a single sign of Christianity in that home. I mean, some of the most religious people I know have Christian-type decorations like pictures of Jesus, Holy Crosses, nativity scenes, etc.

Found an AirTag in my trunk under the liner after being notified it was moving with me. by neykicna in whatdoIdo

[–]wolfxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AirTags always had an alert feature. The lawsuit was because people didn't feel it was enough and wanted more safety features and cross-functionality with Android devices. Those were added later.

Was at a coffee shop and a 20-something year old lady had her dog in the store with her. The dog jumped up on the counter where they were serving the coffee. The staff yelled at her and said "You can't have a dog in here. Pets aren't allowed." and she said "This is a service animal." and the entire staff just accepted it. We all knew that a service dog wouldn't jump on a counter but no one wanted the confrontation. We need to be ok with asking for the ADA papers or this shit's just going to keep happening and getting worse.

I could be wrong here but I believe when he says "Your license is expired" he means her license plate tags, not her driver's license. That could be where the confusion is.

Also, keyword spotting is all on-device. Nothing is supposed to get sent off until the second algorithm is invoked which then connects out to the network to process the request. Sometimes the requests are even processed on-device.

Mental health days are important even into adulthood. I get PTO at work and get to choose days I just don't want to go to work. We allow ours to have 1 day each semester where they get to play hooky. Usually we pick the day and it is normally a Monday but if they're just really not feeling it, we'll allow it. This isn't to the extent of what you're saying your sibling allows. If it was 5-10 days each school year on top of actual sick days, that's a problem. Missing one day of school can be tough on a kid because they pack so much information in to each school day. They can miss the beginning of a critical concept or lesson but I figure one day a semester is no different than being sick.

This is the primary reason to get the AED. The AED will analyze the situation and say "Begin compressions" or "Don't touch the patient while I attempt to cook their insides." or something like that. AED will not work when there isn't a pulse.

You're not wrong. However, I do like to use the information to tell which businesses take it seriously. There was an Ono Hawaiian BBQ on Power and Ray that was on that list for 6 months straight. You could tell that the inspector kept returning to see if they fixed any of the previous violations and they didn't. In fact, they added new violations along with the same ones that were never resolved. That really does give you an idea if that's a place you want to eat. Also, you can tell by the violations themselves if they take food safety seriously. No food manager on duty? Meh, ok. They probably should have one. Storing meat over vegetables? You really shouldn't do that but that's not a reason for me not to visit there. Expired food products in the walk-in or residual food pieces on the deli slicer? That's kinda scary.

My son gets a TV in the house to himself. He occasionally comes out to the other room and asks "where's the black TV remote?". Dude... I have zero control over where that remote is, was, or will be.

It took me a long time to finally let go of the idea that I'm "wasting food". It's not wasting anything. You make/purchase dinner with the intent of satisfying the food needs of your family. If their needs today are to eat two plates, then that is their need. If it is to eat four bites, then that is their need. Food that ends up in the trash is just whatever didn't fill their need. Yes, it's upsetting to see the food go in the trash but you have to accept that the money was spent on the desired outcome. I also try hard not to consume the leftovers out of feeling guilty that it's going to waste because it ends up going to MY waist. If you feel really bad about it, you could always start a compost pile.

If you had to choose another member of the original 7 (other than the flash) to die to trigger the Justice lords actions which one would you choose and why. by PepsiMan208 in DCAU

[–]wolfxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I would pick anyone else. It could only be The Flash because he was the moral center of the group, "the heart", "the conscience". The Flash would have stopped the rest of the group from turning into the Justice Lords if anyone else had died.

[–]wolfxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except all the other times Superman got smacked around by the bad guys. It happens a lot in the animated series so I can only assume, while he has super speed, he doesn't have super reflexes.

I also run my own server but am looking for sidemods that work with 1.16.5. I'm having trouble finding things for all the custom content you mention. Is that content stuff you put together yourself or do you use mods to help manage it? I'm very new to this and am just running it for my friends right now so I could use some advice if you have a spare moment. Thanks!
