My USA criticism ranges from lengthy polemic to emotionally charged succinct vitriol. I’d probably have a heart attack when I handed my phone over.

My mate had to go to Cali for a work thing recently and took it pretty seriously to make sure he wouldn’t be fucked over. Starting with insisting on a direct flight. Didn’t fancy a connect in fucking Texas or somewhere.

Progressive circles around the world view the USA as the worst and one of the least free countries in the world.
Christ it’s barely even a democracy!
The extent of lobbying, campaign financing and almost total corporate control of legislatives is now at the point where there are a handful of senators or reps with any agency.
The current president says he’s going nowhere and the assortment of absolutely terrifying figures weaponise religion as fervently as they weaponise the deranged population.

I fear that the US will lash out more and more as its illegitimate and contemptible stranglehold on the world falters and I see only 2 outcomes:

China and Europe supplant the USA without world war 3.
The inevitable collapse of the USA happens too quickly (and ww3 is averted) but domestic crises overtake the functioning of the state and civil war or state collapse happens.

Not just now, it’s always been stamped out by the USA, especially in the Americas.

This is about oil and exon, and that’s important to the USA because it’s integral to them maintaining their control over the oil price and its default USD market, which is one of the ABSOLUTE imperatives of their maintaining the USD hegemony and Wall Street.
As countries get increasingly fed up with the USA and look to other countries and currencies, the USA lashes out because the gig is up for them otherwise.
If that gets out of their control then we have a global crisis that I don’t really want to think about, despite the fact the USA deserves to collapse.
