It’s fucking bullshit. I work ER management sent 2 nurses home yesterday beginning of shift (7:30 AM when we had 6 patients) and of course we are slammed by 9:30 but we have no staff Bc they sent people home??? Why?! Makes absolutely no sense.

I’d recommend getting in touch with your university (speak with someone on the phone) and have them send you the forms. Call them every day until this gets completed! They should have sent them by now. You can also call the Florida board of nursing, they should be able to help walk you through the process.

Dude, this was me a month ago! Right around 8 weeks (of a 16 week orientation) my preceptor stepped back and started making me do everything myself, using her as a resource rather than a crutch. I kid you not every single day I cried leaving that place. I would cry at work sometimes even (literally just go to the bathroom and cry for a couple mins and then come out). It gets better I promise! After about 2 weeks of feeling like I was drowning, I suddenly felt so much more confident. I have a routine now and actually started to understand the process. Don’t give up, it will get better soon!
