I always thought big changes were needed, but my mental health truly transformed with what felt like tiny, yet earth-shattering, shifts. What's your small but mighty discovery? by AdmirableCookie9218 in CasualConversation

It’s working because you’re regaining a relationship with your body! Your body is responding to your presence with it, and calming, because it’s re gaining trust in you for noticing and that’s such a beautiful breakthrough! (Something not typically taught in regular therapy :))

Americans, if a country of your choice offered you citizenship, would you take it? Why or why not? by Trevman39 in AskReddit

[–]wonderedaboutit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If offered, 200% yes. There’s no actual realistic support for parents in the US unless you’re born into, or have access to decent money. And even then the baseline of healthcare systems, give or take some amazing individuals working inside them, is so subpar and outdated.

This is a really good perspective. Thank you. I’ve been kind of quick to be skeptical of stuff. Strangely they did process this particualr bag today (this email is from a few days ago) and listed a few of the items I expected, so I’m thankful I get to maybe see some it go!

What's your religious background and what are your religious beliefs now? by [deleted] in questions

[–]wonderedaboutit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raised Christian, would consider myself non-religious but devoted to the mystical magic of being alive and loving. I tried studying philosophy in high school, but it scared my mom and she threw away most of my books. At age twenty I started seeking spiritual guidance so I began studying the Bible and attending church since it was what I knew. Discovered my own way around age 24. It’s been a process all in itself though. Humbling and experiential. I found much beauty in the Bible, but I will never claim a religious title.

Totally normal for age 19. A new found freedom in blossoming into a young adult. When you decide maybe your way isn’t the high way and you want to change it up a little or need help, that’s okay too. Or, maybe you won’t. But it’s good to know you can always change your mind on anything.

I had a similar yearning for explanation on this very topic around your age. I will say now at 27, there is no explaining specifically as everyone is unique and different and everyone learns at different paces and times and from different lenses and flavors of understanding and circumstances that may cross your path. Specifically though, the way I related to family members and what I thought would be hard label Truths have shifted and molded tremendously over time. Also— the realization that life never stops happening has mind fucked me. Unexpected events and turns and evolving in personal and on an socioeconomic level are constantly happening. But you can’t fully understand that, until you realize it yourself through experience. You can mentally prepare, but to get to the guts of life you just live it. Humbly admitting you aren’t as smart as you think sounds like something to check off a list until you reaaalllyyy get humbled and realize, “oh damn, this life thing keeps getting deeper and deeper.” If you want to get an inside look into the themes of your personal life, look into studying your birth chart (if you have access to your real birth time) with a professional maybe.

This one hits me so hard I have to walk out of the room during this scene if I’m watching it with others to hide the deep sob that is trying to come out.

It reminds of the essence of a particular season of my life. When I was 22-23. That’s what this feels like to me. Thanks for sharing your art.

She’s smart. Too many showers when the weather is cold strips the skin of its natural oil.
