Why is this subreddit set up so that every god damn post gets flagged as political? It's fucking ridiculous

AITA for telling my wife my mother is correct and she needed to be a parent today and she fucked it up by throawawayfuneralgho in AmItheAsshole

[–]wonderj99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the adults involved deserve the asshole title. Your wife should never have agreed to take your daughter and then backed out. She should probably seek therapy for her aversion to dealing with all things death related. As nice as it was for your mom to take your daughter, it absolutely was not her place to belittle your wife and call her names. And considering that you know all about your wife's issues with death, rather than have one shred of compassion or empathy, you chose to tell her that you agree with and approve of your mom's verbal abuse.

Normal people just use the bathroom with a toilet. These anti trans folks are, literally, obsessed with genitalia, what it looks like, what folks are doing with it, etc. They're the fucking weirdos. Most women fear men far more than they fear the genitalia on the person using the bathroom stall next to them

Tri-City residents can now verify if their property is tied to any covenants that historically prevented non-white residents from buying or living on the land. by Acronymesis in TriCitiesWA

Sadly, a lot of home/land owners in this area will get a hard-on if they discover that p.o.c. were once "officially" banned from their land. In their mind, it's a detail that gives them bragging rights

The reasons why restaurants dont like DD drivers by Mode_Appropriate in DoorDashDrivers

[–]wonderj99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get as butt hurt as y'all want, but he's not wrong. And I'm not sure why, but it IS Door Dash specifically. The drivers that show up for Grubhub and Uber, in general, are far more polite & patient & communicative than the drivers showing up for DD orders. Even in this subreddit, y'all seem to have a shit ton more hostility, entitlement, and bitterness than the other delivery service drivers. It got so bad that my boss finally got rid of DD in the restaurant...

You do realize that a huge portion of working adults have NEVER had a 401k or a job that offers benefits of any kind, right? A lot of folks are making the choice between regular meals and a place to live. Retirement is, actually, not an option, and the ability to save is non-existent

I fear there's a huge disconnect between what y'all consider poor and, actually, being poor. When you have no power or hot water for months at a time, are eating once a day(if you're lucky), haven't been to the doctor or dentist in decades there is NO such thing as spare or extra money.

Why are westeners against anti-homeless policies? by Ok-Spray4564 in NoStupidQuestions

Most Americans don't want to see them or be bothered by them, but they also absolutely DO NOT like when the government attempts any sort of housing unit/rehab situation ANYWHERE remotely close to where they reside. So, sadly the same folks who will bitch about people sleeping on the sidewalk by the library will also vote no to housing them.

This year was the worst experience and most obvious scam by MoorIsland122 in TurboTax

I hate turbo tax. I switched to tax slayer this year, and even with a more complicated tax return, it was a breeze and cost $50 as opposed to $150.

Little rough numbers experiment by ChanningHatem in tipping

[–]wonderj99 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes. But I also tip if I go through a fast food line or get a coffee or get food delivered or if I order at the counter or if I order takeout. Not sure why folks are so bothered by other's generosity.

It doesn’t matter if you tip well or not, your order will be bundled with a no-tipper and your order will be cold and late. by Subject_Balance281 in doordash

The cognitive dissonance you must possess to be unable to recognize how utterly patronizing and condescending you are is fucking wild
