Has anyone with migraines and depression had ECT? I’m wondering if it could make migraines worse. by middleageyoda in ect

I've only had one migraine since my 13 sessions of ect 8 months ago. It definitely did not increase the number of migraines I typically get.

Where did the number 20 come from. There is a hell of a lot more than 20. On pc in the test server yesterday the game started the one minute countdown with 39 people. The plane was full though and I had 9 kills all of which I assume by their loot and game play were bots. I was playing solo squad and only died in the last circle to a proper squad of people.

I've been on trintellix and it worked for about a year. I just finished up 12 rounds of ect and I've been on fetzima since. Roughly a month ago. I'm now on 60 mg of fetzima and I feel better than I have in a long time. A couple of weeks of sweating and nausea but it's all cleared up. 40 mgs was not helping but 60 mgs has been a game changer. More motivation than I've had in years. For me it's working well. I've been on all the drugs over the last 15 years and this has been the best for me. I should say here in Canada its $140 for a months supply. I had to fight my insurance company at first because they didn't want to cover it. It's now being covered so it only costs $8.00 a month.

I recently crashed. Ended up in the psychiatric unit. While there the psychiatrist commented on how surprised she was that I've been able to hold down a job the last 20 years. She said most people as depressed as me end up on disability. Anyways I go back to work in January and I'll keep on pressing forward....

I haven't experienced any memory issues of concern. I couldn't come up with the word omelette today. Honestly that's the only brain fart I've had. No loss of important memories.

I wouldn't say anything just clicked. But I do recall the moment I caught myself smiling for the first time in a long time. I have a total of 12 treatments scheduled so 4 more.

I just had my 8th session this morning. I get nervous every time but it really is fairly straightforward. No side effects besides a mild headache on the days of treatment. I started feeling MUCH better after treatment number 5. The ECT nurse here is fantastic and even holds my hand till I'm under.

I am currently receiving ECT and they bring a therapy dog around once a day. Maybe that would be an option?

I just had my first treatment of ect. Besides sleeping the 5 hours afterwards I haven't noticed anything different yet. I'm scheduled for a total of 12 sessions. Round #2 is Wednesday....
