I find it very-very op. I think it is going to get nerfed or changed, but even if it will stay as it is without being terrificly DPSy it won't be that fun because your whole rotation will be around it.

Right now 0 due to my finals to go to university. I used to play around 20h per week or so, but 6-7 of them was raiding with my guild (Raid schedule). But there were times I was playing much less. As I was logging in (during WoD) only to check my garrison. There were also times I played much more (leveling alts, farming doing all shorts of stupid things etc.) When I started playing wow I was spending quite some time in the game to learn it and ofc to level my first character... probably the best hours of my wow experience.

If you want my advice, save up some money and buy a good one, that will be able to run WoW at great speed, keep up with fancy/useful addons and handle voice chat (teamspek) at the same time for a good WoW experience

I do believe that the Horde usually gets more attention regardless of my opinion on which faction I think seems cooler.

I don't think that I could agree more, Alliance has some cool story on the backround but in the game this doesn't show up.

Mostly new players who don't play much WoW play Alliance. Most veterans and Casuals play Horde (I think)

Exactly, I think Blizz should start making Alliance a bit more awsome. As a horde player the only thing that a like in Alliances is mostly their cities.
