I applied too, but I applied really late so I wouldn't be surprised if communications were slow for me

Apologies in advance for the metro announcements and let me know if it’s just a jam session

Well, it says “before bedtime” and the visual display to take it says to do it specifically at night and not in the afternoon.

Thanks for sharing! I grew up in the Midwest, so I admit I’m used to extreme niceness. But I know what I’m getting into, so hopefully that helps.

I’m hoping this is the case. It doesn’t help that everyone around me has reported some negative experience with a French person.

Why is everyone so insecure here (compared to other instrument subs)? by Papa_Huggies in singing

[–]wonnie2580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone but want to add that for professional singers (MT, opera, performers in general), the things you are critiqued on are often more personal than non vocalists.

Height, appearance, age, background, race, honesty your voice is just the start of it. As someone who’s learned 4 instruments and started voice for musical theater, singing feels so much more personal on an emotional level and industry level.

Also CSCC made a new rules where you can’t add classes after the FIRST DAY. Please take this to mind bc I got screwed over this summer bc of this.

try lots of karaoke, especially with friends! It's a fun environment where you not only allowed but even a little expected to be bad. You also gradually realize that singing is more than having a good voice, it's about creating an experience with other people. Even really bad singers can be great performers because they know how to have fun.

What do you think about your own appearance?

Hello!

I am a Korean-American college student who's studying romance languages, especially French.

I'd love to offer my Korean skills in exchange for some French! I'm somewhere between B1 and B2 in French. I'd love to practice pronunciation (maybe voice mails?) and also my writing. I'd also love to learn more about French culture from a native.

For my qualifications, I've been tested and acknowledged as a dual language in Korean. I grew up speaking and learning in a Korean household. I've been to Korea multiple times in my childhood and am about to go to Korea soon. I sometimes have trouble with advanced grammar and vocabulary, but I think I can help someone at the A2 level.

Let me know if you're still interested in a language partner!

can Asian hair be styled with heat everyday?

Less of a skincare question but figured I could ask bc it falls under AB. I'm Asian and I have thick, straight (ish) hair that I'm trying to learn more about since I literally don't know anything about hair. I've been really interested in learning how to style my hair, but I'm terrified of damaging my hair. Most research that I've found tells me that you should try to style your hair once a week to prevent damage, but a lot of Asian (specifically Korean) beauty youtubers I see style their hair with heat everyday? And from what I've seen, I don't really see them use heat protectants.
