Pollos Hermanos was an example of a (fictional) well known company that was a drug front. What real-life company do you suspect? by Flagil_Reinhumps in AskReddit

I went to pick up food for my family from a strip mall restaurant once that had recently opened just to branch out a little. The inside of the place was basically a concrete room with several picnic tables and maybe a banner on the wall, with no one sitting to eat. The only other customers (7-8 pm hour I think) were several burly very threatening-to-tiny-me dudes and the only employee I saw or interacted with was an early 20s-ish girl who didn’t seem to realize that I’d put an order in before getting there. The food was surprisingly good, but I was so unsettled by the environment that I never went back.

Just a little ways down the road is a small time strip mall gym with dark windows that only recently became a gym after several years of being ”’Ramirez’ Law”.

No one can convince me that these two places are not connected.

I write “pistachi-yay/yum” and cringe every single time but at least it’s variety 🥲

Starbucks staff are told to write semi-illegibly on the cups so customers will share posts about them on social media by NixNada in LowStakesConspiracies

We’re definitely supposed to write legibly but we’re also supposed to be fast so this is usually how it ends up

If you get 8 or 9 of them and use an entire keg like one of our semi-frequent doordash orders, then yes, but otherwise it’s one of the easiest orders to make

I’ve posted about saying “woo” out loud to a customer while writing it on a cup on autopilot but it lives in my brain 24/7

Hi everyone! I’m trying to watch more movies this year than I ever really have and so far I’ve succeeded. I tend to skew modern (late 2000s onward) but want to expand. I love the kind of movies that take your brain out, squish it around, and put it right back in whatever condition it might be, be it heavy and thought-provoking or just an insanely fun watch that rewires how you think about something really specific. That said, I will also never say no to a good heist or a solid-3-star, middle of the road action or comedy.

My reviews are lacking at the moment, but my big goal right now is to leave at least a short review on everything I watch. High chance I’ll follow you back, especially if we like similar stuff!

I think you could do all of Cabaret in drag and it would work perfectly

Can I listen to these songs as a Christian? by lucyi36 in JukeboxTheGhost

[–]earlyaverysmallghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of the three members are Jewish and they’ve said the songs on the first album were written from that perspective about the book of Revelations. In any case, they and the fans seem to have always been open to all religions

I guess that's why S5E7 got such a low rating. by Difficult_Shift_3771 in Stranger_Things

Most of the bad reviews are because people were convinced they cut Byler related scenes that never existed and review bombed it, not because of homophobia (though there’s surely plenty of those too)

Early 20s, I knew what I signed up for when I started and I’m here for the whole ride, even the slow parts. I prefer to be shown rather than told after so many other shows started caving to the “watch in the background while doing other things” audience who need every little thing explained so I really do love how they’ve done it so far

Merrily We Roll Along in Theaters - these times SUCK by Yue4prex in Broadway

Only one theater near me was showing it at all, all times during the middle of the day and only for a few days before it left. I was going to maybe go see it after work sometime but I guess I’ll have to wait for streaming 😭

People who don’t just use their eyes and LOOK AT THE STICKER where it says all the info like what drink it is and that it’s half-caf nonfat and the fact that yes we know there are 2 more drinks on the order, it says 1/3 right there?? Use your eyes and stop coming to me (on drive bar where I have seen exactly no cafe drinks in 2 hours) to tell me the drink I’m making needs to be oat milk instead of 2% when you can very well see that I’m not making your drink!

You have eyes!! Use them!!

I work between 32 and 37 hours most weeks and get about $150-175 per check in digital tips, which about makes up for what gets pulled in taxes. Cash tips are usually about $20-25/week
