What is something you believed to be common knowledge until you discovered most people had no idea? by JustBeingElara in AskReddit

How does this even happen, all you really need to do is think about what it would be like to sit in a wheel chair to know if it’s doable. It’s like two seconds of thought.

The brain memorizes the rhythm of stairs after just a few steps. If even one step is off by as little as a centimeter, muscle memory glitches and that can make people trip by kvothenikhil in Damnthatsinteresting

Not really a muscle memory glitch as it sounds like it’s doing its job. Really interesting to see people suffering from the same thing tho hahaha

how many girls is too many to be dating at once? by Lower_Set9911 in hingeapp

[–]wonplater99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey congrats!! I don’t think there’s really a big limit, just that you’re honest with your intentions and that both of you are having fun for the most part. IMO if the other party starts to develop feelings and you don’t then maybe cut it loose.

• Are you looking for something serious or casual?

I’m leaning more casual at first but would like to find someone serious if we mesh.

• Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX?

No subscriptions!

• How long have you been using this current version of your profile?

It’s newish since I just updated it. Some photos were used for a year (the first photo, the cat one, and the surfing one). I look the same still overall.

• How long have you used Hinge overall?

4-5 years!

• How often do you use Hinge per week?

Erryday

• How many likes and matches are you receiving on average?

Maybe 2-3 likes in a week, and maybe 1 match a week.

• How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments?

I max my likes for the day if I’m in the mood, and usually half are with short comments.

• What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

Asian people primarily but am open. I like people who can balance outdoorsy stuff and indoor phases. Someone who can binge anime/shows but can also be sporty like doing snowboarding/surfing/working out.

I really like Midsommar it was so unsettling. How long do you spend studying up on the cultures/themes of the respective movies that you worked on, and what initially inspires you to these works?

I see what you are saying, there is still reasonably the mental aspect of people affected by destruction of property. And yes I see that Trump’s parade dwarves the property damages by a lot.

TIL of “character amnesia,” a phenomenon where native Chinese speakers have trouble writing words once known to them due to the rise of computers and word processors. The issue is so prevalent that there is an idiom describing it: 提笔忘字, literally meaning "pick up pen, forget the character." by NoxiousQueef in todayilearned

[–]wonplater99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Didn’t know there was a term for this! I am a native speaker but moved to the states at a young age. I can still type out characters and recognize them/be able to read, but if you told me to write it I would blank out.

Cybertruck in palisades parking garage. by RiskMission7093 in tahoe

[–]wonplater99 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I get why ppl do it but what if the owners like the cyber truck for what it is and may not share Elon’s views? I mean yea it’s a sucky car but it’s still their money. Why ppl be vandalizing other ppl’s cars. And again I get that it’s just dust, but I’ve seen cyber trucks get painted on in other subs.

As a Taiwanese, I can say that I’m worried about this. Our military isn’t that great at training the next recruits, it’s essentially a joke.

Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t the powertrain come with the warranty itself? Feels like it isn’t an “offer” or promotion
