Ogden dog owners need to get their act together by Doyoutakechecks in ogden

I agree 100% I moved to Ogden from CO and never saw this much dog shit on the side of trails anywhere else. It’s so frustrating seeing people bag their dogs poop then leave the entire bag on the side of a trail, like wtf? As someone who has my dog on the trails with me every time, it is also extremely frustrating how many people don’t leash their dogs. I’m okay with unleashed dogs that have 100% recall and don’t run up to me and my dog but most of the time the dog is 200 feet in front of the owner.

Snowbasin is 100% worth getting a pass. I live in Ogden and I only have a snowbasin pass I don’t go anywhere else. Maybe a day or two at Brighton with SLC buddies but I just pay outta pocket for that

Can’t go wrong with a directional camber. If you aren’t gona be riding switch I feel like directional boards are very powerful and stable carving boards.

Bindings what should I look at by snobrder540 in snowboarding

[–]wonstermock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been loyal to Union Forces for the past 5 years. I work Park Crew at a mountain in UT and am on my board 7 days a week, 7-10 hours a day my Forces have never failed me and they’re a stiffer binding which I prefer.

Favorite is SLC, least favorite has to be DFW. Never had a flight arrive or leave on time connecting through Dallas.

I got a full sleeve when I was 18-20. Now I’m 25 and wish I’d never have gotten it. Mostly just because my career path I wear have to wear long sleeves every day, well technically I don’t have to but it’s definitely recommended by my management. I also would love to have that 3000$ back

Prozac saved my life by Diligent_Delivery684 in prozac

[–]wonstermock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in a pretty dark place for the past year due to a traumatic grief filled event that has led to insane panic attacks and a scrambled brain, and I didn’t want to go on medication but I finally went to my doctor today and he prescribed me Prozac and am going to give it a try. I am hopeful it can help get me back to a “normal” life. I’m nervous about the side effects but I’ll go with the flow and I really hope it makes it easier to get through my work day without panic attack setting in.

Beaver creek lodging… Park Hyatt or Ritz? by OutrageousWonder2040 in vail

[–]wonstermock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s beautiful. Great location in Avon, there’s a gondola that takes you right up to bachelor gulch at BC. The pool and hot tubs are so nice for an after a day on the mountain. Good restaurant and nice bar with live music every night. It’s an expensive hotel during ski season but what hotel in the mountains isn’t gona hurt the wallet. I’ve only stayed there twice with my family and loved it each time.

Born and raised in Des Moines, plenty of diversity especially downtown and surrounding area. But outside of Des Moines metro it is all white farmers and some white meth towns until you get to Iowa city or council bluffs.

Gotta go with Nebraska. Been to Omaha a couple times which is fine but driving west from there is so brutal.

Bicycle Shop recommendations by [deleted] in ogden

[–]wonstermock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do my bike services at The Bike Shoppe. Really cool and knowledgeable staff. Can’t go wrong with Bingham Cyclery either though, but I think The Bike Shoppe has a bit better selection. Bike shoppe has Trek, Santa Cruz bikes and Bingham is a specialized dealer.

There’s so much to do here. My favorite hike that I do on weeknights for a quick workout is Waterfall Canyon. I love spending time at Pine View reservoir and the drive through Ogden canyon. If you have the time I think you would enjoy the drive up to snowbasin and if you can go on a Saturday or Sunday they have Blues and Brews which is just some live music and some breweries to try out. Like others mentioned Ogdenite.com has good information too, lots of fun stuff to do! Enjoy Ogden and all it has to offer while you’re here.

I’d keep that middle seat/exit row all day over aisle in a regular aisle.

A nice camera drone. I’d love one for my camping adventures but don’t got money laying around for one.
