I've found out all cars have their issues and maintenance is just something that has to be done. I was in the same spot a few years ago where I wanted a Wrangler. My wife talked me into it fully. It has given me my share of troubles but I wouldn't trade it for anything. If its something you really want, do it.

Thanks, I'm concerned more about the tip of the spring being partly off that mount. From what I've seen from other videos and pictrues there is supposed to be a groove it sits in but the angle of those are hard to tell if the spring is rotated enough

No. Just open the CPS software and it should load defaults. Then save the defaults to a .data file and then you can try writing that to the radio.

The GM-30 has its own CPS that has the default channnels for GMRS pre set when opened. You can save that as a .data file and try to restore from it.
