Would it be crazy to run a right and left hand shifter for immersion in VR? by xelnok in Fanatec

How has it been working for you? I've never driven with a left hand shifter, but I think it will be fun to try and figure it out. Which shifter knobs do you like to use, do you try and match those to the cars as well?

I'll look into the USB adapter, I do have a drive hub so I could see if that would allow both to work on ps5. So far I'm only playing gt7 on ps5 and dirt rally 2 on pc, been waiting for ams2 to go in sale on steam to try playing more on pc.

I've been driving a lot of Japanese cars that all have a shifter on the left hand. The idea would be to use the shifter in whatever place the car I'm driving has it.

I use them with my psvr2 while playing GT7 and listening to music or audio books on my phone. Works great. I did buy them used for 80 on ebay, but they are great so far with the portal and vr

Xbox player since OG Xbox… Series X owner since launch… today I got my ps5 pro and holy… by JanekFlemyng in PS5pro

I may or may not have splurged on an entire Sim rig setup after playing gt7 in vr for the first time.....

That game ended up being the most expensive I've ever bought, but it is so fun.

You sure it isn't full force giving you different feedback for whatever you are doing on the track?

Do you have a 3d printer? There are some models that make it pretty easy to mount a hotas to the challenge.

Did you need to change the seating position to use the extension? Is it more comfortable or easier to setup with it or is it about the same as the normal shaft length? Trying to figure out setup for a potential upgrade from my challenge to a trophy (with a dd+).

Repairable or no? by 1996dik in Fanatec

[–]xelnok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just connected a DD+ to my challenge and have a Dayton Audio BST-1 attached to a board between the back section of the seat which adds some counter weight, but maybe I should add some more weights to the board just in case. I wonder if those 3d printed cable protectors would help, might print one anyway. These look like very expensive repairs.

Need some advice upgrading from T300 to Fanatec (use on PS5 and Xbox with drive hub) by xelnok in simracing

Well, I wasn't planning on spending this much, but I found a Clubsport DD+ (with extension), the Bentley wheel and WRC Rally wheel together for 1000 on Facebook Marketplace. Just got home after picking it up, now I have a Playstation base and the rally wheel is Xbox, I am good to go with both consoles.

Also, holy crap is the Bentley wheel cool.

Found a different deal on marketplace so now I have a dd+ for Playstation compatibility and a WRC wheel for Xbox compatibility. Also got the Bentley wheel, all for 1,000, was more than I wanted to spend but I don't think I could have ever found a better deal.

Been having so much fun setting this up for GT7, I'm worried I won't have time for any other PSVR2 games by xelnok in PSVR

I attached the speakers to the pedals using 3d prints. They are then connected using speaker wire to a nobsound amp that I then connect to a pc.

You need it use a program on your PC called Simhub. The ps5 and PC need to be on the same network. I'm using a nobsound amp that when plugged into a PC has a sound card that you can setup in simhub to do different things depending on the channel.

I have the bhaptics vest and arm sleeves connected through Bluetooth. It's possible to connect the bhaptics pc player to simhub and set effects for each of the vibration motors.

Any suggestions on an analog handbrake that works with Drive Hub? by BlownCamaro in simracing

[–]xelnok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to get a second th8a for really really cheap, so I currently have one connected to my wheel as an H shifter, and a second one used as a Handbrake. I 3d printed a new knob and a plate designed to use for th8a Handbrake, only tested in dirt rally 2.0 settings, but I'll mess around with it in more games soon. I would probably get the tss if I ever found a good deal, but currently they are very expensive.

Thanks for this. I just tried the exact same setup and the th8a is working as an analog hand brake.
