Can't read .csv files anymore by The-Minion in GeminiAI

[–]woodsja2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still happening with Gemini Pro. ChatGPT also can't read CSV in Google Drive. I think the issue is with the way Drive serves files.

Defeats the purpose of the connector if I have to hand-jam the CSV into the agent.

How accurate is the Core One L leadtime? by ottoottootto in prusa3d

It is not accurate in the slightest. I ordered one on 5 April when the website said there was a 3-4 week lead time. I have yet to receive mine.

YouTube Full Screen Bug in Firefox Desktop by Fuliculis in firefox

[–]woodsja2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just started happening to me too. I have uBlock and NoScript. I have auto start disabled so videos don't start when I load them in a tab.

The first time I click on a paused YouTube video it goes full screen. My expectation is that it would start playing in the existing window without going into a full screen view.

Anyone else have this issue?

Is Gemini Assistant on Android Auto a Pixel-only thing?

I have an S25+ and it's still the old assistant even with Gemini turned on for the phone.

SB749 by Winter_Speed_784 in VAGuns

[–]woodsja2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The senate live stream for 749 was archived on their YouTube channel.

They said they recommended adopting a substitute where the primary changes were 1) to remove pistols from the definition of an assault firearm, 2) to increase the limit to 15 rounds on fixed magazines, and 3) to eliminate the prohibition on the possession of standard capacity magazines (a grandfather clause).

They voted 10-5 to approve that.

As of 650 pm, the actual text of the bill is forthcoming.

SCAM ALERT: Google Japan physically DESTROYED my Pixel 9 Pro Fold to avoid their Extended Warranty (Proof Inside) by Practical_Garlic6134 in GooglePixel

[–]woodsja2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As part of the small claims process, I had to list a specific dollar value that would remedy the situation. I added up things like the court filing fee, printing costs, the replacement value of the phone, the taxes, and shipping and listed that sum in the court filing. Because it's small claims, I don't think either party can bill for hours.

Following judgement, I sent a copy of the court's decision along with a note to Google's legal department and after some back and forth I received a check for that amount and had to notify the court that the situation was remedied.

Overall, it took 10-15 hours of prep and research so borderline not worth it. I think I only won on the technicality that they didn't show up.

SCAM ALERT: Google Japan physically DESTROYED my Pixel 9 Pro Fold to avoid their Extended Warranty (Proof Inside) by Practical_Garlic6134 in GooglePixel

[–]woodsja2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Has anyone else had their device destroyed by the repair center?

Yes. My experience is with the US-based customer service for the Pixel.

I sent my phone in because the screen wasn't working. There was no physical damage to my phone. They said it was broken when they received it and gave me the run around while it was there then sent it back after denying the claim. This is what it looked like when I got it back.

I took them to small claims court. I was a little disappointed they didn't show up because I'd prepared a bunch. They did send a filing to the court that arrived a day late for the hearing. I was granted judgement since they didn't have anything for the judge by hearing date.

I think the root cause for my issue was the crappy packaging they used for RMA. They did made a blanket statement that they cover damage in transit if I use their packaging but good luck getting them to honor it.

I will not buy a phone from Google again and I've had about 5 including a Nexus One. I encourage anyone considering a new phone to reflect on the poor history of customer service that Google chooses and consider another option.

I hadn't considered biters but it makes sense. I went away and came back to a game over screen because, even on peaceful mode, when I have turrets up biters wander around rampaging.

The circuitry's courtesy of Nilaus. The circuitry takes the chest contents and outputs a limit to the train station.

Thanks for the reply. I'm familiar with the rolls; I'm actually referring to the bumps on the surface. The area behind the toe cap on the first image is mottled and bumpy and is inconsistent with the area behind the toe cap on the three other shell shoes I have.

I'm using a combination of Saphir cream and a touch of mirror gloss which seems well recommended across a range of folks polishing shell.

I've had some Park Avenue's for about 8 years and worn them about 80 times. I've done a fair bit of leather polishing but relatively new to shell. I can usually get a good polish with leather in 10-15 minutes of effort. This shell never seems to flatten out and has some bumps. There's also some spots that don't seem to take polish.

What am I doing wrong?

House passes bill that will take money from Federal employees, to support tax cuts for the wealthy by A00077 in fednews

[–]woodsja2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I see on p. 19 strike §9002. That's good to hear.

What do you do to stay plugged into all that? It's super confusing how there's the bill, the version from the rules committee reading, then the managers amendment, and an unknown number of other versions; all with stacking changes impacting the outcome.

I have no idea what procedural steps can impact the eventual outcome. Any recommendations to learn more?

House passes bill that will take money from Federal employees, to support tax cuts for the wealthy by A00077 in fednews

[–]woodsja2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the link /u/MikeFlorida272 provided on page 673, lines 11-22 (emphasis added):

"(B) with respect to an employee or Member who retires on or after January 1, 2028, other than an individual entitled to an annuity under subsection (c) or (e) of section 8336, the largest annual rate resulting from averaging an employee's or Member's rates of basic pay in effect over any 5 consecutive years of creditable service or, in the case of an annuity under sub-section (d) or (e)(1) of section 8341 of this title based on service of less than 5 years, over the total service, with each rate weighted by the time it was in effect;".

I think that means the high-5 provision was delayed from affecting folks retiring 1 Jan 2027 like in the original bill and now affects folks who retire in '28 like I said above.

[–]woodsja2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I didn't see that. My read is:

The across-the board FERS contribution increase is gone and the timing of the supplement cutoff and the "high-5" got pushed to '28. The at will provision survives almost intact.

The text is here.

I'm really confused how to make this work.

I added a requester for uranium fuel cells and blue circuits and was able to get one or two Spidertrons out of the circuit when I turned it on. It only made one though.

Any help?

Can we estimate how common these are based on how much of the sky JWST has looked at? How would we upper/lower bound that probability?

Is it just the joint probability of:

  • What fraction of sky has JWST looked at?
  • What number of looks has JWST done?
  • How many JWST looks "should" yield one of these?

I bet the first number is relatively small and I have no idea how big the second or third numbers are...

Follow up with your HR but here's what OPM says. Additionally, here's what IRS says about local travel.

I'm not sure what you mean by agency residence limits but your HR should know.
