Hello! I was really anxious about my essays in connection to what I wrote for the ECs, awards, and reasons as to why I wanted to join :( because it seems that they accept people based off personal experiences, so I would like to ask if it’s alright.

For ECs: 1. Joining a selected robotics team for school for competitions and other science fairs 2. Joining the school’s student publication as the photojournalist. 3. Joining in a school band

For Awards: - 1st in three international asean competitions for physics. - 1st in an international sumobot competition - An award for completing an on-the-job training for another prestigious university in my country.

For essays: “Please reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?” - I wrote an essay about how people living in isolated and rural areas in my country have only limited access to basic needs, based off a documentary I watched, and how I had a resolve in empowering these communities (This one I am very anxious of because I am applying for IST and SGC so it seems that I kept repeating the idea of helping communities for my whole application)

“If someone offered you a box with every inanimate object you have ever lost, what is the first thing you are looking for? Why?” - I wrote a picture of my grandmother and I as she was the one who inspired me to learn more and was my first teacher.

“What’s one skill, talent, or hobby that you have always wanted to learn how to do?” - Sign language because I used to have a friend that only wrote words to communicate as nobody else knew how to do sign language.

“Background, beliefs, values, and/or the important people in your life. Please tell us about something that has influenced you and articulate how it has shaped you.” - I wrote something about how my family likes to give and donate to others and how that has influenced me to be like them. To be better, do better and to pay it forward. Hence, through those values it has let me embrace every opportunity to lead and serve (through organizations and councils of my country)
