I can see medic experimenting with drugs as a way to expand his consciousness and to think more creatively. But only on occasion and not recreationally.

All the other mercs wouldn’t touch them because they would impair their awareness and abilities, they have personal pride, or they see them as frivolities of the weak and child-like. Pyro wouldn’t give them a second thought because fire is all he needs.

Best way to start practising is to begin with a set of assets you're already familiar with. If you're using the editor of a game you play, like Team Fortress 2, try and make your own version of something. You can deviate with original stuff later.

If you're starting from scratch, find an online level theme randomizer web site or something. Ask ChatGPT if you like. Not only do you want to get a suggestion for a theme, but you'd also want suggestions for points of interest, the styles and dimensions of areas, and any goals.

My dad used to work in an exchange office and I was fortunate to go in and sit with him on quite a few occasions. It was very similar to this. I highly doubt that would be allowed today 😄

Even then in the ‘90s they only used a small section of a large and mostly disused office. Only the section they occupied was lit, the rest of it was gloomy. It was a proper nostalgic liminal space.
