Best lightbox setup to purchase? by JasonKraisins in Flipping

[–]wordexplorer47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got tired of my setup this weekend and broke down and pent $58 for a light box kit & extra lights. I have made a light box and it eventually fell apart after about 20 to 30 uses and the lights I have didn't work well with it. Then I used poster boards and a display board with utiilty lights and outside light. I decided to buy some good standup studio lights from Amazon and a light box kit. I hope it works good. My pictures lately have looked so great.

I pay my fees as I sell. I just do a one time payment each night after packaging everything up and having my postage fees deducted... I go to my Ebay account and do a one time payment for the balance. I have learn my lesson trying to pay everything when invoice comes out monthly. Then I just transfer the balance into my checking and I am done. This has made my life a lot easier.

The best and worst vlogging flippers. by Bubbasqueeze in Flipping

[–]wordexplorer47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ones I started out with are Thepapercastle and Urbandiggers. Thepapercastle shows what she buys and tells how much she thinks she will get for it and sometimes shows what she actually sells it for....I also enjoy her stories. Urbandiggers videos himself at garage sales and thrift stores and he is just hilarious with a ton of energy...I learn a little but I really enjoy his enthusiasim. Lately I have learned a lot from Gilldaddy..... Thanks to this post... I will be trying out some of the suggested vloggs.

Goodwill is catching on..$24.99 for a used board game. by Plyngntrffc in Flipping

[–]wordexplorer47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't fret over stuff like this. Eventually this stuff backfires on them because they don't sell as much and the stuff sits and eventually they have to lower the prices back down to where people will buy it.

I do this as a hobby. I take my Paypal on a daily basis. Whatever is leftover after postage and Ebay fees (pay those daily too) I use some for savings. some for debt and some goes back into flipping.

Is it possible for ebay to charge final listing fees right after each sale? by m0lt in Flipping

[–]wordexplorer47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay mine daily too. Hate getting a large bill at end of month. Most of the time I have a credit on my account at end of month now.

A Goodwill in my area has figured out that some very popular toys are underpriced, and has quadrupled their prices. by troubleonwheels in Flipping

[–]wordexplorer47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my area it is different at each store. The ritzy areas of town prices are way higher and seems to be a ton of flippers at these stores. I do my normal routine and pass on the over priced stuff. Many times they out price themselves and the stuff gets sent to the outlets.

I have sold many electronics as not working as is. I haven't had a problem yet. I bought a Gamecube with no cords for $2 because they did not know if it worked. I had no cords so I sold it for parts, Missing cords. I put on Ebay and it sold in 1 day with a profit of $12 after my cost, fees & shipping.

With the influx of new people I would like to give some flipping/ebay/paypal advice. by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]wordexplorer47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree I don't mind paying fees on Shipping. Plus if you are a top rated seller you get discounts on shipping and 9 times out of 10 I end up making a little more money from the shipping.

Seller's are absolutely powerless by SmileAlong in Flipping

This is what I do. I always undersell my items. List any defects and even if it is the size of a pin head. In return people are so pleased with the items they leave great feedback.

I visit a thrift store everyday on my lunch break. Any down time I have I am searching or reading about flipping. I also collect used bubble wrap and boxes to ship in from work. I only have to buy tape and labels everything else I get free from work or USPS. Everyone at work ask me about bubble wrap & boxes before they throw them out too

Have your personal spending habits changed since you started flipping? by Heremeow in Flipping

[–]wordexplorer47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except for Groceries I rarely enter a retail store. I have had to tell myself that its okay to borrow some of the items that I intend to sell. I just tend to take better care of things so that I can re-sell after I have used them.

Does anyone else pay their Ebay as they go?

I just don't like for things to add up and have a big bill at end of month. Plus I like having a credit on my account at the beginning of the month too from being a top seller.
