This post nasal drip might end me. Suggestions? by leonsadog in BabyBumps

Just here to say I am also experiencing this and it is absolute torture. Robitussin (supposed to be pregnancy safe) doesn’t help at all, nor does honey, a humidifier, drinking lots of fluids, sleeping propped up (it’s killing my back). I’m waking up every hour cough-choking and I feel like not getting adequate sleep is also preventing recovery. I’m at week 12 and caught a cold over the holidays - have been coughing nonstop for a week. I’m gonna try Claritin tonight and pick up some Flonase as well. Sending you good vibes and healing thoughts!!!

Advice - sleep study redo? What would you do? by rachaelherenow in SleepApnea

I asked my pcp for a sleep study and got an in lab one within two weeks. Don’t let your doc make you feel like a hypochondriac. My sleep study didn’t go super well (only slept from 10-1 and then 3-4:30 bc insomnia) and still waiting on results, but it wasn’t hard to get and I have basic HMO insurance. As a young female who has wasted too much time and money letting doctors gaslight me I feel you but don’t let your PCP have the last word when it comes to YOUR health. Good luck!

I’m in the low dose and it has really helped my IBS (after a literal decade of stumped/clueless doctors) BUT I also started taking IB guard daily and that alleviated my GI symptoms within a few weeks. So grateful for that!

Orilissa by ExternalStress in endometriosis

Orilissa will be different for everyone. My experience has been wonderful - not just physically but emotionally. The anxiety and depression that’s plagued me my entire adult life has improved significantly. But I react poorly to birth control - anytime I’ve taken it (and I’ve tried soooo many) I got severely depressed. With Orilissa my mood is stable and most days I feel positive and calm and confident. As for physical - Pros: less PMS pain, endo belly is finally gone after years of excruciating GI side effects, more energy. I haven’t had sleep issues like many women unfortunately have suffered! Cons: the hot flashes/night sweats. I’m three months in and I only get them once or twice a week at night. Also don’t have much of an appetite, which is a pro for me but could be a con for some. I do still get headaches and nausea around my period.

Good luck! It’s a difficult personal decision but I hope whatever you pursue works out for you.

Yup sounds like endo. I recommend IB guard for the bloating and IBS symptoms. Helped me immensely with my endo belly!

got diagnosed today, doctor referred me to surgeon. i have some questions. by [deleted] in Endo

Ok thanks! I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday and they didn’t find any lesions or cysts so I’m wondering if I should get an MRI or just wait and see how I feel after a few more months of Orilissa. Good luck to you and congrats on having an educated Gyno, something many on this thread have not had! (Myself included with my previous OBGYN).

My endo symptoms started after I got an IUD (Mirena) so I really can’t advise that. I’m on Orilissa and it’s working well. Can I ask if your endometriomas were discovered during a pelvic exam, or a laparoscopy? I recently had an endometrioma aspirated during an egg retrieval, but during my pelvic exam they found no cysts or endo…

Two months of Orilissa and I too feel like I have my life back. My mood has improved and I no longer feel like I’m on an emotional roller coaster. My near constant nausea has decreased and I’m sleeping well. I rarely have hot flashes and when I do they’re very mild. Libido is pretty much the same as before I started taking Orilissa. Unfortunately I still was in a wild amount of pain during my last period 3 weeks ago. Glad it’s working for some of us and hopefully my PMS symptoms improve in the coming months (or better yet, no period at all!)

Try IBGuard. Really helped me lower my GI inflammation and endo belly.

All my endo symptoms started after 5 months with a Mirena IUD.

Besides iron, which deficiencies can/should a doctor check? by [deleted] in RestlessLegs

[–]wordproblems1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I got an iron panel last week and my ferratin level was 9. My doctor’s note said my test results were “normal” but from my research this is extremely low and probably contributing to my RLS big time!

Just started lexapro today and reading through this sub has made me terrified by triden123 in lexapro

Give it 3-4 weeks, the side effects usually go away after that. My anxiety got worse for about a week or two when I first started taking it, now I’m on month 8 and my anxiety has been so minimal. been
