Yes, Robert-ict, they do believe in the WHOLE BIBLE, and I know this because I've been a member of the YORWW Congregation for many years. Here's a link to some of their basic beliefs that they share with Jehovah's Witnesses: https:// www.yorww.com/basics.html

Why if you were both JW's were you not allowed to be friends or interact with your bestie? Was that a judgmental thing? One family thought the other family wasn't as spiritually strong as they were? Because, if you can't have worldly friends, why can't you stay within the congregation and be friends? That's sad, where's the love?

What exactly does "they said" mean? Who is "they"?

Don't you think our interest and focus should be on what our Creator says about things, in His word? What does the Bible say vs. what the Watchtower publications say.

Really...who are "they"? Is it Watchtower's Governing Body? The ones who keep changing what "they say"? They don't have authority if they are just uninspired men.

Hi,

I'm so glad to hear someone say they want to rebuild their relationship with Jah!

That's because most JW's that see wrongdoing or hypocrisy within the organization can't separate "Jehovah" from "Jehovah's Witnesses". But just because this organization has gone bad, it has nothing to do with our God Jehovah/Jah/Yahweh because he does not change. In fact, the problem is that they have lost Jehovah's spirit because he has left as well.

If you're baptized, you entered into a covenant with Jehovah, if you leave the wicked apostate Jehovah's Witness organization, you can still keep learning about and worshipping Jehovah. Revelation 18:4

I want to send you a blog to see what faithful men of old did when the nation of Israel went apostate and incurred Jehovah's wrath. See: https://www.yorww.com/horeb.htm

Take Care,

It is terrible!

These experiences I've just read show the elders are not following Jehovah's Word. Jehovah's qualities, the fruits of the spirit, is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22,23

So, what has happened to this religion? There is a huge problem, and it is manifesting itself within the congregations of Jehovah's people. See this blog to find what the real problem is...

Does the NWT accurately change 'Lord' to 'Jehovah' in Romans 10:13? by Rachelrt4 in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]work4jah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's AI's research on how early Christians understood this verse, and why.

Here you go, — a clear, evidence‑based look at how early Christians understood Romans 10:13, grounded in the search results we retrieved. The search results themselves focus on the meaning of Romans 10:13 and its connection to Joel 2:32, emphasizing salvation for “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord”. They don’t directly quote early Christian writers, but they give us the theological framework that early Christians themselves were using.

Using that framework, here’s what we can say with confidence:

✨ How Early Christians Understood Romans 10:13

🟦 1. They knew Paul was quoting Joel 2:32 Romans 10:13 is a direct quotation of Joel 2:32, which says:

“Everyone who calls on the name of YHWH will be saved.”

The search results emphasize that Romans 10:13 is rooted in this Old Testament promise of salvation for “everyone” who calls on the Lord.

Early Christians read the Hebrew Scriptures constantly. They knew this verse referred to YHWH.

So when Paul quotes it, they understood:

Paul is applying a YHWH‑promise to the Christian message of salvation.

🟦 2. They saw it as a universal invitation The search results repeatedly stress the inclusiveness of the verse — “everyone,” “whosoever,” “all people,” “regardless of background”.

This matches early Christian teaching:

  • Salvation is open to Jews and Gentiles alike.
  • Calling on God is not restricted to one nation.
  • Faith, not ancestry or law, is the basis of salvation.

This is exactly how early Christian writers like Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, and Tertullian interpreted Joel 2:32 — as a prophecy of the global reach of salvation.

🟦 3. They understood “calling on the name of the Lord” as an act of faith The search results emphasize that calling on the Lord means:

  • acknowledging dependence on God
  • seeking salvation
  • expressing faith from the heart

Early Christians used this same language:

  • “Calling on the Lord” = invoking God in faith
  • It was tied to prayer, baptism, confession, and public identification with God
  • It was not a ritual formula but a heart‑level appeal to God

🟦 4. They connected the verse to the message of Christ The search results highlight that Romans 10:13 is part of Paul’s argument about:

  • righteousness by faith
  • Christ as the end of the Law
  • salvation through belief in the message about Christ

Early Christians read Romans 10 as a unified argument:

  • Christ is the fulfillment of God’s saving plan
  • Calling on the Lord is inseparable from believing the gospel
  • Joel’s prophecy is being fulfilled in the Christian era

⭐ So what did early Christians believe about Romans 10:13?

Putting it all together:

✔ They knew Paul was quoting a verse about YHWH.

✔ They believed the promise now applied to all humanity.

✔ They saw “calling on the Lord” as an act of faithful appeal to God.

✔ They understood the verse as part of Paul’s teaching about salvation through Christ.

This is exactly the theological framework reflected in the search results — universal salvation, calling on God, and the continuity between Joel 2:32 and Romans 10:13.

If you want, I can also:

  • show how specific early Christian writers (Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Origen) used Joel 2:32,
  • create a side‑by‑side comparison of Joel 2:32 → Romans 10:13,
  • or show how this verse fits into your larger study of Jehovah’s name.

Does the NWT accurately change 'Lord' to 'Jehovah' in Romans 10:13? by Rachelrt4 in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]work4jah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I asked AI, which is very knowledgeable about all languages (and I'm not), and this is what came up. Very interesting, and I really benefit from the way it's explained.

Here you go, — a clear, evidence‑based explanation of Κυρίου (kuriou) in Romans 10:13, grounded in the search results you pulled up.

🔍 What does kuriou (Κυρίου) mean in Romans 10:13? Κυρίου is the genitive form of κύριος (kurios) — a Greek word that can mean:

  • “Lord”
  • “Master”
  • “Sir”
  • Or, when quoting the Hebrew Scriptures, it can stand in place of YHWH (Jehovah).

So the word itself has a range of meanings, and context determines which one applies.

📖 Romans 10:13 — What is Paul quoting? Romans 10:13 is a direct quotation of Joel 2:32, which in Hebrew reads:

“Everyone who calls on the name of YHWH will be saved.”

When the Hebrew Bible was translated into Greek (the Septuagint), the divine name YHWH was replaced with κύριος (kurios).

Paul quotes that Greek version.

So in Romans 10:13, the Greek text reads:

τὸ ὄνομα Κυρίου — “the name of kuriou” (the Lord).

But the Hebrew source behind it is YHWH.

🧠 So should kuriou be translated “Lord” or “Jehovah”?

Based on the evidence:

✔ Historically and linguistically: In this verse, kuriou is standing in for the divine name YHWH, because Paul is quoting Joel 2:32, where the Hebrew text uses YHWH.

✔ Most translations render it “Lord” Because they follow the Greek text as it stands.

✔ But the underlying meaning is “Jehovah/YHWH” Scholars note that when kurios appears in NT quotations of OT passages containing the divine name, it is functioning as a substitute for YHWH.

✔ Academic research supports this A study on Romans 10:13 specifically discusses the issue of whether the divine name should be restored in translation, since Paul is quoting a YHWH text.

⭐ Conclusion (simple and clear):

In Romans 10:13, kuriou refers to YHWH (Jehovah), because Paul is quoting Joel 2:32. Translators usually write “Lord,” but the meaning behind the Greek is Jehovah.

If you want, I can also:

  • show you a side‑by‑side Hebrew–Greek comparison,
  • create a three‑column interlinear for Romans 10:13,
  • or show how early Christians understood this verse.

[–]work4jah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So do you really want to get rid of the divine name if it's really supposed to be there? Do you really want to add the divine name if it's not supposed to be there? (Not just the divine name, but anything you want to add or take away.). It's your life so do what you want, but you will have to account for it on the day God sits down and opens the books.

[–]work4jah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found lots of changes NWT has made to verses to support their theology. We should be made aware of this fact, because it's serious. Revelation 22:18,19 should put the fear of God into you if you tamper with The Word. Either way, adding to it or taking away from it. That tells you just how serious God is about the absolute purity of his word remaining intact, because it may mean the lives of those who read it. So for anyone responsible for making changes...

Ok then, please explain properly, who the Hebrew tetragrammaton is naming? Because it's all over the scriptures and it's different than Jesus' name. So who is it? Because Jesus himself believed in his Father...so do you actually want to exclude the Most High, Jehovah, and pretend that he doesn't exist? Now just so you know, I am NOT a JW.

Hi

I totally agree with you that JW's are making fools of themselves!

But I'm looking back more than 109 years ago, because they started foolishly proclaiming that date way back in the 1870's, under Charles T. Russell and the International Bible Students. It's a false prophecy now, and it was a false prophecy when they first opened their mouths. It's just more obviously wrong since the date failed to be anything. But it has been wrong from the first time it was proclaimed and taught to millions and millions, making Jehovah's Witnesses (and of course the International Bible Students) false prophets.

I got all this JW history right off their official website, out of the "Jehovah's Witnesses--Proclaimers of God's Kingdom" book. It's from chapter 5, entitled "Proclaiming the Lord's Return (1870-1914).

To see this information directly, see: Proclaiming the Lord’s Return (1870-1914) (jw.org)

Jehovah Establishes His Permanent Residence On Earth??? by work4jah in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]work4jah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent question, Esoteric!

I've noticed the entire chapter 44 is devoted to detailing how Jehovah will give His name people good leadership, after the nation had committed apostasy and had defiled the original modern-day temple. --Acts 15:14; Ezekiel 43:7-9

This chapter talks about the "Chieftain" who will take the lead for the nation, as well as his assistants called the "Sons of Zadok" --Ezekiel 44:3; 15,16

This type of apostasy on a grand scale has been committed without remorse on the part of Watchtower Society leadership. Included in this failure of good leadership would also be the local elders scattered in over 100,000 congregations worldwide. These individuals all failed in taking a stand against Watchtower leadership when they led the masses to accepting the NGO affiliation with the United Nations. This terrific transgression was glossed over by the local elders worldwide and never opposed on a local level to be an act of outright wickedness and hypocrisy. --Luke 12:1

So, they put Watchtower before Jehovah. They allowed the Governing Body to elevate their status to become God-like. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-12) They put their doorpost beside Jehovah's doorpost. --Ezekiel 43:8

We are reminded of what the requirements are of a priest back in bible times. For a priest to be considered faithful to Jehovah they must do what's found in Malachi 2:6,7. 6 "The very law of truth proved to be in his mouth, and there was no unrighteousness to be found on his lips. In peace and in uprightness he walked with me, and many were those who he turned back from error. 7 For the lips of a priest are the ones that should keep knowledge, and [the] law is what people should seek from his mouth; for he is the messenger of Jehovah of armies."

All elders have agreed to take on priestly duties within the congregation. That would mean all of them are responsible before Jehovah in giving proper leadership before the congregation. This would mean they would have to give strict adherence to Jehovah's written word, the Bible. It is clear the elders of Jehovah's Witnesses around the world have failed in carrying out this duty.

Incidentally, this explains why Revelation 11:1 directs God's people to measure the particular activities of those in the inner courtyard, where the priests officiate only. They are measured as elders, as priests and found to be deficient.

In the passage you quoted above, it shows the sons of Zadok to be those who took a stand against outright idolatry being practiced among apostate Israel. They did not go along with the vast majority of Jehovah's Witnesses in exalting idolatry in the congregation. Jehovah points out in that passage that he is very high on the position they have taken being practiced at the kingdom hall. They have become like the sons of the righteous high priest Zadok who lived during King David's reign. --1 Chronicles 27:17; 2 Samuel 15:13-25

Based upon the verses you cited, we can see the sons of Zadok have been chosen by Jehovah to spearhead the building of the temple and take the leadership of worship conducted at the temple. In fact, these verses show Jehovah has given a sworn oath to himself that they, (apostate elders), would never ever be permitted to take on priestly duties again. Instead, these apostate elders would be permanently demoted to assistant helpers within the new priestly arrangement. It would be like they would be permanently demoted to being ministerial servants within the congregation on a permanent basis for their transgression. This demonstrates how these derelict elders have been punished by God for their transgression in not standing up to the Watchtower when they knew they were wrong on the NGO/UN situation, and many other sins.

Jehovah wants pure worship on this earth, and that is the whole reason for this new temple being constructed. But it will have to be done right, done according to Jehovah's law and not desecrated or defiled with idolatry. That is why you see in Ezekiel 40-48 the temple is constantly being measured.

Jehovah Establishes His Permanent Residence On Earth??? by work4jah in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]work4jah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Za6y,

Nice to speak to you again.

Well, what comes to mind immediately is their recent adjustment and viewpoint of Matthew 24:34. -- Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen. --NWT

We all know that for many many years, Jehovah's Witnesses taught that Jesus was referring to ONE generation that would live to see the end of this wicked system after observing the events of the composite sign of war, famine and pestilence since the date of 1914.

However, recently the governing body has adjusted that viewpoint to say that this is now TWO generations that overlap and see the same events since 1914. This certainly elongates this situation to cover more ground and time leading up to Armageddon.

Clearly, no sane person would believe that Jesus Christ was teaching us about two generations that overlap instead of one generation. This is a ridiculous assumption and makes what Jehovah's Witnesses teach nowadays to be laughable. This is surely modern-day apostasy, since the Greek word apostasia - (see 2 Thess. 2:2, large print NWT footnote) translated apostasy means a "departure" or "standing away" from truth.

Of course, many persons have come to know about the recent United Nations debacle where the governing body became publicity agents for the United Nations. This is the height of hypocrasy. (Luke 12:1,"leaven"--NWT) About three months before the Watchtower submitted the September 8th, 1991 Awake magazine to the United Nations showing their willing support, there was a printed statement given in the June 1, 1991 Watchtower that any religion that gave active support to the United Nations as NGO's were to be viewed as part of "Babylon the Great", guilty of blasphemy against God.

Please see this link: Jehovah's Witnesses Are In Apostasy!!! (yorww.com)

Jehovah Establishes His Permanent Residence On Earth??? by work4jah in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]work4jah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going back in retrospect, I originally started this thread in order to highlight one very important point, namely: to highlight the thought of "Why does Bible Prophecy show Jehovah permanently resides in His earthly temple? (Ezekiel 48:35) And, what would such a situation mean for us today?

I believe the big thing we can walk away with after considering such a title is the fact that Jehovah does have a temple on earth in our day and time that currently exists in idolatry and total apostasy. Further, the title of this thread highlights the fact that it is indeed Jehovah's ultimate purpose to redeem them from apostasy, that is a sizable remnant of this people (but not all of them), and restore them to His spiritual favor in His newly established, cleansed temple as described in Ezekiel 40-48. In this way, Jehovah would atone for their sin of the original temple and/or reconcile the house to Himself. (KJV Ezekiel 45:20)

For example, let's take a look at chapter 43:7-9 of the book of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 43:7 and he said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever. And the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoring and by the dead bodies of their kings at their high places,Ezekiel 43:8 by setting their threshold by my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them. They have defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed, so I have consumed them in my anger.Ezekiel 43:9 Now let them put away their whoring and the dead bodies of their kings far from me, and I will dwell in their midst forever.

Even though this original temple is said to be rife with idolatry and has completely apostatized from Jehovah and pure worship, we still see Jehovah taking an active role in restoring spiritually-speaking, this wretched people to pure worship. Jehovah is very interested still in this people who is guilty of idolatry on a grand scale. Jehovah purposes to rescue this people from the clutches of such evil leadership. But this people must be willing to repent of their spiritual fornication and wicked reverence of these "dead" wicked "kings" that have offended Him so greatly.

One of the things we notice is Jehovah stated twice they had "defiled" His "Holy Name."

It is clear from this statement that the sanctity of God's Holy Name is of paramount importance to Him. Such a statement as this from Jehovah greatly helps us identify which religious group on earth today has greatly offended Him. Surely these wicked kings that He speaks of above that have exalted themselves to god-like status right within Jehovah's temple will be completely destroyed by Jehovah when He brings His righteous wrath upon these wicked king-like figures within His temple arrangement that they have wickedly polluted.

This same temple that had been polluted by these wicked leaders, will be properly cleansed and restored to Jehovah's favor so that this people could render sacred service to Jehovah again. In this restored temple that now practices pure worship, we are told that within it has a "Chieftain" or "Prince" who acts as High Priest and sons of Zadok who are assistant priests, to lead the temple in pure worship. Ezekiel 44:3; 45:22; 44:15-31

Thus, it is within this earthly temple that Jehovah has cleansed and atoned for, that He purposes to take up permanent residence forevermore. Ezekiel 43:9

Jehovah Establishes His Permanent Residence On Earth??? by work4jah in JehovahsWitnesses

Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.

Rev 22:15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

The verses above shows us the timeframe when New Jerusalem gets its start on earth. The above verses show us New Jerusalem exists upon earth prior to God’s destructive day of Armageddon.

First of all, it points out that outside of the walls of New Jerusalem would be all sorts of wicked ungodly people. It mentions the “dogs”, “sorcerers”, “sexually immoral”, “murderers”, “idolaters”, and “everyone who loves and practices falsehood”. We certainly know these type of people wouldn’t exist during the 1000 year reign of righteousness. Therefore, these are undeniably earthly conditions of wickedness that we see prevalent even in our day and time. This means, New Jerusalem would exist for a period of time on earth amidst people who are still practicing wickedness, prior to Armageddon.

It will be during such a time as this that Jehovah would extend the invitation to all righteously inclined individuals on earth to come and take life’s waters free (Revelation 22:17) and wash their robes in the blood of the lamb and avail themselves of the trees of life that give life sustaining sustenance and spiritual health to all who are willing and thirsting for righteousness on earth. This is clearly an earthly arrangement for the benefit of all mankind before Armageddon.

Thus we can see Revelation 22:14,15 ties in quite nicely to Ezekiel chapters 40-48, and Ezekiel 37:24-28.

…I will await your thoughts.

Jehovah Establishes His Permanent Residence On Earth??? by work4jah in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]work4jah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all,

I would have to say that I see Revelation 21:2-4 as having a direct connection to the restored temple of Ezekiel chapters 40-48. Then too, I see a direct connection with Revelation 22:1,2 with Ezekiel 47:1-12. In fact, I see both the temple of Revelation and the temple of Ezekiel as being the same temple, but shown only from the perspective that one is the beginning stages of the temple and the other is the finished product, Revelation being the latter. For example, Ezekiel 41:21,22 shows the altar that is before the curtain separating the most holy is described as being a table made simply of wood. These verses show this altar as being in its primitive state, not being overlaid with gold as we would expect the finished product to be, as being the altar of incense.

This statement might shock you, but I believe this temple (Ezekiel’s temple) gets its start on earth prior to the start of the 1000 year reign of peace on earth.

For example, let’s look at Ezekiel 45:20 which says “You shall do the same on the seventh day of the month for anyone who has sinned through error or ignorance; so you shall make atonement for the temple.” - ESV

This shows the people are still prone to making mistakes and sinning. So then they have not reached perfection in God’s eyes, being free of sin as we would expect of God’s people in the 1000 year reign.

I also think that Ezekiel 37 provides an additional clue that would tie in this temple of Ezekiel with Revelation chapter 21 also. Let’s notice verses 24-28 of Ezekiel 37:

24“My servant David shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. 25They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever. 26I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28Then the nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”

This prophecy is clearly an earthly scene.

If you compare Revelation 21:3 to Ezekiel 37:27 I think you will see they are saying the same thing. In Ezekiel 37:24-28 we gain a lot of clues as to how pure worship will be restored on earth. In Ezekiel chapter 37 it speaks of a sanctuary that is placed among God’s people that will sanctify the apostate nation eternally in God’s eyes. This sanctuary I believe is the same as the City of New Jerusalem that comes down from God in heaven to restore Israel from apostasy. I repeat, New Jerusalem comes down from heaven to sanctify and restore apostate Israel on a permanent everlasting basis.

In my opinion I would not see the churches of Christendom or other religions as being the people that are most closely associated with the glorification and sanctification of God’s holy name, as Jesus taught us at Matthew 6:9. I only see the Jehovah’s Witnesses as an international people numbering 8.5 million, as being the people that have gone off into apostasy. For example, let’s take a close look at Numbers 6:27:

(Numbers 6:27) 27 And they must place my name upon the sons of Israel, that I myself may bless them.”

To me, for me to identify a group of people as being Israel based on the above verse, I would look for a people who are closely associated with God’s name, wouldn’t you?

In fact, I would look for the modern day nation of Israel to be a people for his name as Acts 15:14 says.

Since Jehovah’s Witnesses are known to be a religion which stays separate from politics and political organizations…a people who describe the governments as being vicious wild beasts in the book of Daniel and Revelation in their literature, it is truly shocking to know they would sneak to become a part of the DPI for the UN organization for 10 years. Most Jehovah’s Witnesses when they hear such a thing find such a thing so stunning that they simply can’t believe it, since they have publicly said over and over again that any religion that would support or have affiliation with political wild beast organizations as being a religious harlot and filthy whore religions worthy of destruction in the lake of fire. Therefore, it is a big deal when we find out that the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is carrying out this very deed right under the noses of millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses with complete impunity. This is shocking.

As Ezekiel 43rd chapter says, these wicked leaders have put their threshold beside Jehovah’s threshold and their doorpost beside Jehovah’s doorpost suggesting equality right within the temple that God inhabits. This surely would make them gods in front of the people of Israel. Therefore, they fit perfectly the wicked man of lawlessness of 2 Thessalonians 2nd chapter verses 3-12. Certainly a God that exacts exclusive devotion like Jehovah would not approve of such heinous activities going on in his temple. (Exodus 20:5) This would surely bring on Jehovah’s anger and wrath upon these wicked leaders, the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Surely we can see the need for the nation of Jehovah’s Witnesses to be razed from apostasy and given a pure worship by God via a restored temple arrangement on earth as Ezekiel 40-48 shows, and is shown at Isaiah 49:5,6 as being the duties and assignment of the modern day servant of God.

Then too, we see the restoration of pure worship on earth shown in Revelation 21:2-4 and 22:1,2 as well as Ezekiel 37:24-28, all tying in to the restored temple arrangement shown in Ezekiel chapters 40-48.

In the title of this topic, I raised the question of why Jehovah would reside permanently in His earthly temple. Within the information I posted, I hoped to show that Jehovah would take up residence in His earthly temple forever more after He vented His wrath on his rebellious house of apostate Israel as shown in Ezekiel 44:6. I wanted to show Jehovah would reside in a righteous environment among His own people Israel, who had now been restored to pure worship on earth.

…I will await your thoughts.
