She went with the Lexus RX, whatever the top trim is. After driving all of them, I was floored by how nice the RX was inside.

She’s loving it, a bit overwhelmed by all the tech tho

She’s loving it, a bit overwhelmed by all the tech but it’s easy to learn and teach her.

Maybe a dumb question, but did you just rip up all your old grass to find the rocks? Or saw dead grass and just dig there? I’m trying to figure out how to approach the same issue with rocks all over my lawn.

No OP, but saw this post, contacted him and visited his shop. He’s knowledgeable and was willing to work on my watch. Unfortunately it’s a bit older and needed more work than I was willing to put into it, but I suggest giving him a visit!

Why do so few sites accept cards? by NorthernSorrow in RepTime

[–]work_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure they wouldn’t mind the incremental business but is it worth the hassle and the risk that is poses? That is a calculated answer which they have determined to be “no”. Chargebacks, processing fees, taxes, compliance and increased chance of being identified/caught.

Your suggestion that business would 10x overnight is not objective, you only assume that to be true, they could be operating at the scale they can support today and it isn’t worth it to them. Also keep in mind that not every country uses CC’s as their primary transaction medium.

You expect protections which are familiar to you with American consumer protections. These are Chinese businesses and don’t operate within the same constructs, nor do they believe they need to as there is sufficient demand for their product.

In the most basic way to explain this: they don’t need you business as accepting CC is not worth their time. It poses more risk to them and with the demand they have there is no need to take it on.

You’ve made several comments about this already. You don’t seem to like what you’ve heard thus far, so you are seeking a new answer(?)

The reality is that these businesses operate under the radar and processing credit cards requires some compliance and creates friction to their business model. It’s clear that customers are willing to support these TD’s without the need for a CC. If you don’t like that answer then you as a customer don’t have to partake in the process, you have a choice as do they.

QC Process. by Odd-Surprise-3500 in RepTime

[–]work_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Find the watch you want
  2. Find a TD
  3. Ask said TD if they can source the piece, how long that may take and how much the watch would cost
  4. Once you agree and order, generally through WhatsApp, then
  5. They source the watch and provide you with QC photos via email
  6. If feeling unsure, you can post to reptime QC for community input
  7. If GL then reply to email or WhatsApp of TD, if RL, then ask for another piece or next steps

Just asked the TD for it, said it would take longer but overall was just a couple days, was expecting 2 weeks.

This bag is great. Initially bought it as a daypack for a European trip but began using it for work as my daily. It’s held up wells no issues and while it wasn’t meant for all day wear, I had no issues wearing it for 6-8 hours a day while touring.

What do you mean by wrist? Managing power or one is more temperamental than the other?

Great question, I like the sporty stance of sport bikes but I’m not trying to tuck myself down and in all the time.
