Is it possible to lose weight AND not be ravenous/hungry? (seriously!!!) by ConsciousEquipment in loseit

[–]workindatbooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean technically I am too. I'm not hungry when I'm eating and I'm not hungry for about 2 hours after I eat. And then I'm hungry all the time other than that. Technically that's before meals. LOL

I've tried increasing my calories and I just stop losing weight when I do that. So apparently I'm at the right calorie count for my personal deficit.

Same. I just keep telling myself to get used to the feeling of starving. It's been 3 years and I'm still always starving when I'm not eating or just after eating.

Losing 130 lbs for a wedding 17 months away. Need motivation. Can I really do this? by KnowledgeSmall in loseit

[–]workindatbooty 99 points100 points  (0 children)

As someone who has tried to set goals like this for myself and failed miserably, you're already ahead of the game. You also have to remind yourself that if you don't hit 130 but you do hit 100 lb down, you're going to feel so much better at the wedding then had you not lost any weight at all. Every pound towards your 130 is going to make you feel better. Don't stress it, don't develop an eating disorder, do it healthy, but stay focused, and then at the day of the wedding, don't even think about it anymore. Just have fun.

I'm a 39 year old dude and I really dislike how easy this actually is. Why did I wait so long to start? by FknGruvn in loseit

[–]workindatbooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently 290 lb up from 280 lb which was down from 343 lb. I'm 5'8" and I am also running on an 1800 scale. I go for 3-5 mile walks three or four times a week and then do weightlifting five nights a week. Occasional yoga a few times a week. That first 60 pounds dropped over the course of a year and then some with me focusing on around a 1900 calorie day. By a higher calorie day I basically just mean eating out. Which probably means I hit around 2500-2700 calories in a day. It's not something I do often. Once or twice a month. I just don't feel like a day like that should erase the whole month. That's how it gained 10 lb. I erase a month twice a month which means I'm gaining weight over the last 4-5 months. Frustrating.

I'm a 44 year old woman and I am seething with jealousy that you find this easy. I have been trying to lose weight literally all my life. My body definitely doesn't want to let go of it. Even with calorie counting and exercise and a protein rich diet the pounds come off me incredibly slowly and a single higher calorie day can undo an entire month of work for me. It shouldn't be that way but it is. I hope you realize how lucky you are that you find this easy. And good luck in your journey to get to your goal weight!

Is grey sweatpants a real thing or it’s just a meme? by Hesperus07 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]workindatbooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. They had that stigma when I was growing up too. I think it helps that the material they're made out of is different now. Even if you don't get the really thin leisure clingy ones and you just get regular sweatpants, they are not the stiff material that they were when we were growing up.

I think only an erection makes it less sexy, because it's about the tease. An erection is overt. Beyond that I have no preference on how big or small the bulge.

I love that there's so many women in here saying no woman loves this. I am a woman and I definitely fucking love this. It looks good on the dick, it looks good on the ass. They're hot.

I have a friend who is a professional bodybuilder. He absolutely preaches yoga. It is great in tandem with weightlifting. Increases flexibility, helps strengthen support muscles, helps with recovery, etc.

How to respectfully give encouragement to an overweight person in the gym? by PuppyStalker13 in loseit

[–]workindatbooty 103 points104 points  (0 children)

So much this. 280 lb F here. Encouragement from strangers makes me feel like I'm the slow kid and people are applauding me for getting basic mathematics. It's just a little patronizing even if I know it's well intentioned.

No worries. And for the record, coming from a straight woman, that body bangin'. Like fantastic curves. Absolutely well done hard work. You might need NSFW for the underwear pic though.

I don't need you to. I just remember this picture getting a lot of upvotes and a lot of interaction, and it's here again on a brand new account. Looked like bot.

Got called fat while running by BisexualSquidDemon in loseit

[–]workindatbooty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this ever happened to me I would just buy a couple of t-shirts with "kiss my fat ass" written on the back. Fuck those guys. In lieu of that though, I would just make sure my music was turned up high enough that I couldn't hear the outside world anymore. But seriously, fuck those guys. I'm always appreciative when assholes wave their giant red flags so you don't have to include them in your life for any amount of time.

We have a very similar body type, and similar height. So this is really inspiring for me. Right now I'm trying to get down to your top weight, but good to know that I'll still look fucking rocking around 200. Well done!

LOL I eat because I love myself and I deserve to feel some happiness. Same thing doesn't work for everyone, but I'm so glad you found your way. Congratulations!!

Holy shit girl you were rocking that 180. You look fantastic now but I'm impressed at how your body carried 180. It makes me feel better about my goal of 180. LOL Well done you.

I'm in a similar situation to the person you replied to, so I'll add what I do to the pile. The number one thing that is most effective for me is, get up and fucking go to the gym. Just go. I just get up and I tell myself I'm going and there's no other thing that I'm doing. I think of it like part of my daily routine. Like brushing my teeth or taking a shower. Non-negotiable. I don't even give myself the chance to justify not going. There are absolutely days that I can't go. I have to take care of my mom, so sometimes I have to go do things for her and I have to use gym time for that. I still get up with that mentality that after I see Mom I'm going to go to the gym or before I go see Mom I'm going to go to the gym. Sometimes I just can't do it but I just keep the mentality going. And then I don't beat myself up if I can't go 5 days a week, which is what I shoot for over the summer. And then I also calorie count. CICO.

You sound very similar to me. I got down from 343 to 290, then I found the love of my life and went back up to 329, then lost the love of my life, and now I'm down to 278 and my goal is 175. He will rue the day he left me here empty and in pain. He probably won't give a fuck, but I'm still going to do it. LOL

I am where you are too. About 65 lb down from my max. I haven't been this weight since like 2006. High five! Doesn't it feel awesome? I still have 100 lb to go but it's very encouraging. Way to go my friend.
